the lid is no longer swollen and i can open it.
of course the vision is blurry but i can see out of it now.
i'm still on the drops for another week though.

woo hoo..........:woohoo:

I've been skimmin'. Sorry about your eye, Mac. Did you get an eyepatch?? pirate: Glad it's doing better.

I hate this snow! I hope we don't get too much! :scared:

didn't need a patch as my eye was sealed shut.

but, i'm doing much better now!

heard on the radio 3 inches at ohare now.

we started light snow around 2 today.
it will hit us later tonight.

my one son that is working in security has to be at work at 1 in the morning.
(he leaves around midnight for work)

i hope he doesn't have trouble on the highway from here to deerfield.
i would think that the toll way would be salted and cleared at that time.

I had a great day yesterday!:)
I worked alot around the house - I cleaned and cleaned. Then at 3:30pm I curled up with a blanket on the couch and watched tv until bedtime - it was great!!!! I watched RV, The Day After Tomorrow, and then The Fast and the Furious. I've seen all these before, but that's okay, it was nice to relax:goodvibes

That snow last night was pretty incredible. When I took Sophie out, when it first started snowing, the flakes were so large, that it was loud when they would hit the umbrella. Sophie didn't know what to think - she kept chasing them. As much as I hate snow - it was pretty cool standing outside last night. Now, I hope it all goes away super fast!!!!!!

slo- Glad you had a relaxing day yesterday. April is squeezing the life out of me! I don't think I'll have a relaxing day until the semester is over!
dgal and gef- Snow?!? Yuck! Dd said, "this is snow not right!" Fairly clever for a 7 year old!
mac- That eye pic is creepy! Also, that TCM show sounds awesome. Thanks for the heads up!
Hersey- I am a neat freak! I hate these muddy paws! Puppy isn't so good about pausing for a foot wipe, either!
Piglet- and keep us posted! We are here for you!

Look! I got a new tag! How exciting!

Also, I need pd and encouragement. I have to teach 30 minute lesson in front of myclassmates tonight, which will be recorded. I hate watching myself!
Anyway, time to be productive!

Good morning all!

Bunchkin Sorry to hear about Tony's mom and about being layed off again. Hopefully soon things will turn around and stay on track. Glad the kids sound good. Congrats to Lauren on the math bee :thumbsup2

Paint I think the dogs take a extra lap in the mud just to get me.;)

I know I'm missing someone and I am sorry. I'll be back later to catch up.

The snow melted really fast - that's great!!!!:thumbsup2

geffric - Dirty houses are so frustrating aren't they?!:headache: One of my biggest dirty house annoyances is the kitchen flour. I feel like I can't keep it clean for more than 2 days:headache:Drives me bananas!!!!!

DG - My mom has that in her elbow, and I know she has pain too ::yes:: Is it swollen, or just painful? Does pain killers like Advil help it? I'll send lots of PD your way for it to feel better soon!!!:wizard::wizard:

paint - How did the teaching go? I'm sorry I didn't read your post yesterday to send you some PD:wizard: I hope it went well.

It's time to eat my grapefruit (I went to Aldi's last night and got some more, but the price isn't as great anymore - they are now $0.49 a piece - so I only got 4), and then get Steph up for school.
Have a great day!!!

HERSEY - we posted at the same time :wave2:

The teaching went okay. I hurried up because I thought I was running out of time, but I eneded up finishing early-everyone did, actually. I had a reading as part of it, but I let them do it on their own (they are my classmates, not HS students) and told them beforehand just to skim it since I thought it would take too much time.
My kids have a short week this week-3 days! That leaves me with childcare problems on Thursday which I still haven't worked out! Dh works and I have class all day. Grr!
Thanks for all the PD!
Again, time to be productive. We slept in a few minutes and everone counts in the morning, so I am behind.:)

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: The snow in Tinley is still around...:sad2: a lot of it melted but the grass and roofs are still covered. I hope it gets warmer by Friday the 17th. I'm surprising mike for our Engagiversary and would like it to be warmer than it is now! :goodvibes

Slo ~ it's not swollen, just hurts when i walk on it. :confused3 advil helps!

Paint ~ glad to hear the teaching went well!

Hersey ~ :wave2:

have a wonderful day!

Hey all!!! :wave2:

So, DH's is signed up with the union again and also sent his resume out for non-union jobs too.
Hopefully it won't be too long before he finds something.

His mom is being transferred to a nursing facility again. She's in need of 2 different IV's every day and it would be better for her to be there to get the care she needs. It should only be for 2 weeks.
Then hopefully this will all be cleared up and she can start her chemo again.

piglet Sorry to hear all that is going on. Hugs for you! We're all here for you when you need to talk. :grouphug:

disneygal Engagiversary??? Did you make that up or is this a new official day of celebration??

paint Glad the teaching went well. Any time I have spoke to a crowd I have always fell short on time when I thought I'd go over. :upsidedow
Hope you can find someone to watch the kids. What about their dad?

geffric I hope the job hunting is going well. Do you go to Monster and Snag A Job....sites like that too and post your resume?

slo Your Sunday sounded great to me!!! The kids and I did some shopping and running around and then I had a guy drive an hour and a half to look at Tony's van. We've had it for sale since we closed the business. The guy bought it and had to drive all the way back and forth yesterday to pick it up!!!

Time to run!!
Take care everyone!!! :goodvibes

I hope everything works out with Tony finding a job and MIL does well in the nursing home.

SLO :grouphug:

Yesterday I worked at Meals on Wheels all morning, and then came home started cleaning.. Today is cleaning and cooking. I have the first sedar here so I need to make sure the house is clean for the family. :rolleyes1 or at least the mess is out of sight.. that is Geoff's strategy.. he hides all his junk under his bed or in the closet.. maybe I'll try that too..

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: Boy, I slept like a log last night. it was so nice!

Bunchkin ~ I got the term engagiversary from a disney bride on another forum. She decided that b/c they were going to be engaged for more than a year it would be a nice way to celebrate still being engaged! I thought it was cute. Good luck to Tony on the job hunt:wizard:

Slo ~ I'll PM you my surprise plans... he's a lurker around here! :rolleyes1

Geffric ~ have a good day cooking and cleaning! I used to be one of the 'shove everything in a closet or under the bed type people.... now i just close my door:laughing:

Everyone else ~ :wave2: have a good day!
