Hi all!!

I keep having trouble posting here. I type stuff out and then POOF! :wizard: So I gave up trying. LOL!

Teeth grinding. ACK!! DH does it. I sometimes will gently grab his chin until he stops. lol!

John Hope you and Carol are having a great time!!

slo Sorry it rained on all your activities for the weekend. BOO! That's so neat that you gave Steph a job on the team! :)
If you're still having foot pain, there are special shoes you can get from New Balance that help with plantar fasciitis. I had some pain after my surgery so I went to P.T. to help stretch things out. Helped a lot, so did the shoes. No pain now. Sometimes the ligament will reheal itself over the plantar and make it start rubbing against it again causing more pain. Maybe that is what yours did.

Well, it's Friday, which means Sports Weekend at our house :cool1:
Katie has 4 games this weekend, and Stephanie has 1 game.
Katie had her first game on Wednesday, and she did great. She was our starting pitcher, and she pitched 119 pitches, and about 50% of those were strikes - not bad for a kid that's only pitched for the last 3 weeks of her life.:thumbsup2

I'm hosting a photography exhibit at the store the next 2 weeks, so I've been busy getting ready for that. The photographer is having an invitation only party tomorrow night, to open the show, so that should be nice, and great free advertising for me:thumbsup2 So, tomorrow will be a very long day I will literally not be home from 8:30am until 11pm except to change clothes for 5 minutes, but I'm not counting that. As busy as it all is, I do like the craziness sometimes - it's kinda thrilling :)

Nothing else to new by me - no time for it:rotfl:

I hope you all have a great weekend!!!

We won every softball game this past weekend:woohoo::woohoo:
Now that we won, we are all starting to get that competitve drive - even the girls. We are having so much fun - this is turning out be a great Spring!!! :flower:

Stephanie lost her soccer game though, and she was bummed about that :( This was the first soccer game her team lost since this time last year. I told her that it was good they lost, because they were getting a little cocky, and they needed to deflate their heads a little bit ;) Stephanie also got kicked in the kneecap with a cleat during her game, which hurt like hell, and now her knee is all bruised and swollen. She's working through it though, so I'm proud of her :)

Work is still slow, but I still have stuff to do which is good. The photography exhibit went okay, but not as great as I hoped. The photographer has her items her for 2 weeks, so I'm hoping people come to see her things. I like this lady very much, and I would love to her exhibit be successful.:)

That's about it from me.
Katie is going to be here soon, and then she has to do homework, and then get to CCD by 4:30pm. Then both girls have practice after that - busy busy!!!

Have a good night everyone!!!

Hi Ho!

Well DH went to Champaign to pick up DS#2..it is hard to believe that his freshman year at college is over.. ( sigh) where does the time go???

anyway, he comes home and on Tuesday, he sign papers and starts work..plus he has 3 courses and his band and gf.. busy kid!

DS#1 graduates college..it is so hard to believe that I keep repeating maybe it will sink in>> LOL.

But the BIGGEST news of all is that my nephew is getting married!

This year!:cool1:

July 6, 2012.:yay:

.in BARCELONA!

Guess a little trip is in my future!!:rotfl2:

:wave2: Happy Mother's Day All...:flower:..........

Slo......sounds like you're having a great time with the girls and their activities. Glad to hear the business is a little better too. Loved your story of you and Kevin and your romance. You are such an innocent little thing compared to moi. ;) I dated around like a wild dog before dh.....:smokin:...... although... he was worse than I. :lmao:

Geffric.......The day my son graduated from college - honestly...was the proudest day of my life. :goodvibes Way better than anything I had ever achieved (including college). I don't know why, but their accomplishments mean more to me than my own! I sent that same kid to Spain for a college trip a few years back. The mother of his friend is a professor here and leads tours. She is originally from Spain, so I trusted her completely. SPAIN IS AMAZING! I would love to go there myself. Do you need a date for the wedding? :flower3:

Still haven't planted my flowers that I purchased a couple weeks ago in their permanent pots. Need to finish that job this weekend. I've become so lazy with it all that now I buy the planters that are already mixed floral's and ready to hang. Just take off the hangers and plop them in my urns/pots.

Nice and cool here NW of you - loving this weather. Hope you all get lots of hugs and kisses Sunday.

Good Morning all:wave:

Just a quick stop by and say hello...

Another busy weekend..I can't wait for vacation. I need to RELAX!!

Happy Mother's Day!!:flower3:

Hi Everyone! Just got back from the Hawaii cruise on board the Wonder last night. The cruise was awesome! We had 5 sea days, four days in Hawaii, and 5 more sea days getting back (with a quick stop in Ensenada, MX, the last day). We did end up taking the $3 shuttle into town in Ensenada, but Carol and I both agreed that it was essentially a non-event and likely wouldn't do it in the future. However, the rest of the cruise far excelled!

Will post more later, but just doing a quick drive by for now.

Welcome home, John and Carol!! Will be looking forward to photos when you get the chance. Glad to hear you had a lovely trip.

I'll try not to disappoint. ;) I've still got photos from two years back that I haven't gotten around to posting yet. LOL! But I'll at least get some of the highlights posted, such as our vow renewal on Waikiki Beach.

I start my new job tomorrow, so I may be distracted for a while.

welcome home..

a new job?? What is that??

new job?? What is that??

I lost my job last month. Fortunately, I have a fantastic network of colleagues who pulled together for me and helped me find a great new job within 16 days. This allowed us to sail away on our two week Hawaii cruise without having the spend the entire cruise worried about coming back to a job search and how we were going to survive while I was out.

I'm now a presales SE for security VAR.

I have to tell you that there is nothing I honor more than knowing that my colleagues respected me enough to pull together and help me when I was down. I will be forever grateful to them.

Hey Chicago peeps! :wave2:

Hot weather here. Like that's new news. LOL!
2 more weeks of school for us. I am really looking forward to summer break!

I'm looking into new summer vacation spots. Disneyland just took a 25-30% increase on their tickets!!! :furious: That increase is equivelant to my hotel budget through Priceline!! They figure this summer will be so busy because of Cars Land opening, so why not raise the prices to help pay for it. Right?? The hardest hit was the AP holders. Way to peeve off the regulars!! :rolleyes2

crissup Glad you and Carol had a great cruise. :)
So this was the news you were going to tell us? You have a new job? Sorry you were fired from your prior employer. It was very fortunate for you that you were able to call upon your colleagues to help find you a new job. :goodvibes
So your job title....too many initials for me....explain in layman's terms what the heck you're doing!! lol! :rotfl:

rmom Did you ever get your plants into the ground/containers? :)

crissup Glad you and Carol had a great cruise. :)

It was awesome!!!

Yes, I wasnt wanting to say much while we were going through it. Didn't want to jinx it.

Essentially, I'm a technical engineer who works for the sales team. So, I go in and help the client determine the best solution for their needs and help them understand how it would integrate into their environment, so they can make a decision to purchase the solution.

Thanks for the explanation, John. :goodvibes

Hope the new job is going well for you. :thumbsup2

Back from IA.. helping DS#1 and loading up the car for round 1 of taking everything home..also dropped him off at BSA training.. he was uber busy yesterday..turned in his last paper and took his last final, and did his last presentation ..for undergrad ...\\

next week is graduation and dropping him off at des moines to work at BSA camp for the summer..then who knows ?>??

DS#2 is celebrating his 4 year dating anniversay with GF..taking her to a play and out to dinner plus a nice gift..

Hi everyone! I can finally post again. I was having a terrible time staying logged in, so basically if I took too long to post something it would log me out, etc...

It got to the point, I would have a nice long response, post -- go to post and be logged out which meant I lost the post & wasn't worth the hassle to go back and re-type it.

Today is DD's graduation....looking forward to it but NOT looking forward to it since it is supposed to be super hot & we will be in a nice full gym....it's going to be sweltering in there. Let's hope it is a quick ceremony. LOL! I have no idea, she is my oldest and being clueless is an understatement. I was perplexed when it told them to wear their medallions at Baccaulurate (sp?) -- I was huh? We never had such things & the more than one tassle thing plus cords. All very confusing. DD has an ITS (International Thespian Society) tassle though and she's very proud of that one & is happy she can wear it. I'm still hoping she actually passed everything, we have had some issues. LOL! I guess we will find out for sure tonight if she got the real thing or a blank piece of paper. Then I can quit stressing about it and get ready for *gulp* sending her off to college far away. :( (But I really am happy because I think it is a great school for her).

I hope everyone is having a great holiday.

Happy Tuesday night everyone!!! :wave2:

So much going on around here - never a dull moment!!! :faint:

Stephanie just finished her soccer season, so we have a small break from that for now. She is doing a soccer camp this summer, and then in the fall she's doing 2 leagues - an in house league, and a travel league :faint: We'll be going all the time with her - but that's okay, it's fun!!!

Katie is still going strong in softball, and just made the All Star Team - she is very excited!!!:yay: I just found out today that I'm helping coach that team too, so that will be lots of fun, and lots of work (I'm not coaching 2 teams at once). Summer will be very busy at the softball fields until the end of July.

The kids have only a couple more days at school which makes me:dance3:
Their last day is Thursday!!!

Today we were at wake/funeral for Kevin's Great Uncle who passed away suddenly on Friday. It was sad, because this man was like a Grandfather to Kevin, and very loving to the girls. The girls took his death well, and even watched the casket go into the ground today (Kevin and I are always the witnesses for this at all family members burials).

Becky - A big congratulations to your DD :yay: Where is she going to college, and does she know what she wants to major in?

geffric - A big congratulations to your DS too :yay: Where is he going to college?

Crissup - I'm so glad you had a great vacation, and that you were able to find a new job right away - congratulations!!!!:cheer2:

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I better be heading home. I had to work until 7pm today because my employee covered the day shift for me, so I could go to the funeral w/o shutting the store down. I think we are going to watch Captain America tonight. We are kinda on this Avengers kick, because I went and saw The Avengers on Monday, and LOVED it!!! I came home and told Kevin (I went alone during the day when everyone was at school and work) and told him how I want to see Ironman, Captain American, The Hulk and etc. So we rented both Ironmans this past weekend and loved them, and now I think Kevin got Captain American for tonight. After we see all these movies, Kevin wants to see The Avengers, which is okay, I will see it again :thumbsup2

Have a great night everyone!!!
