Well, dd and I had a great weekend. We ate at Rainforest, she built yet another Build a Bear, we did some girly shopping. We also painted pottery on Fri. and on Sun. went to my sister's Disney themed wedding shower. Now it is back to normal life, so, if you could send me some pd... I have a Spanish test today, andas we know from last semester's laments, I don't like it/stink at it. Sure, it'd helpif I studied, I suppose, but I prefer to rely on divine intervention...

Slo, in 2004 we stayed at AKL Oct. 28-Nov. 2. The kids had a great time in the pool!! In fact, they were so warm in the parks, all they wanted to do was swim in the pool. Not sure if it is always like that but it was upper 80s low 90s our whole trip. I remember DD at our MNSSHP had her Ariel costume on-tank top dress. No jacket/sweater and she never complained about being cold in the evening at all. I felt sorry for DS. He was wearing that vinyl Disney Buzz costume with all the gear and trekked through the park all night and never wanted to take it off even though he had Buzz shorts PJs on underneath. Kids and their Halloween costumes!!

Morning all! Busy night at work again. I am starting to think we are birthing the entire South suburbs this fall.

Be sure to ride Soarin again for me and have an Orange Grand Marnier slush in France (or maybe it's Italy) for me, too. They were the best!

Oh, DH ordered my birthday present early and it arrived Saturday! Wii Fit!! I have tried it out. Apparently, my center of balance requires a little work. I am going to try it out a little more today with the kids at school, it will make things easier. You have to read and think about what it wants you to do. Not an easy task with 2 kids screaming at you for stuff.

Tiggerrn We went to Bengston's Pumpkin Farm on Saturday. We had a lot of fun, but it was way too much $$.
This weekend we are celebrating DD's b-day by taking her downtown to celebrate. Her b-day is this coming Monday.

SLO I was at WDW last year from 10/29 -11/4.. The weather was warm during the day... not too hot but shorts/capri weather but i needed a sweatshirt or jacket for the evenings.. once the sun went down it was cool..

Hi guys! Well, plans are chugging right along so far so good. Have to clean and pack still though. Confirmed everything with AKL IPO, printed all my documents and shipped our box of liquids and gels.

DD7 and DS8 have been hacking, coughing and sniffling so I decided to be safe rather than sorry in WDW with sick kids. Figured I'd be told, just a cold but turns out both have double ear infections! They've never complained about their ears just coughing and sniffles.

mac - have a great trip down, will try to catch up with you in the motherland.

slo - congrats to Stephanie, Mairead has been a server since the end of last school year. She really enjoys it. One negative is since she goes to the parish school they serve daily mass and she has the 6:15am masses the first week of November - ugh!!
*We're trying to keep the secret until departure day on Sat, so far so good but it's getting harder.

paint - I hope the Spanish test went well today!

Tiggerrn - Happy (early) Birthday to you!! Hope you enjoy the Wii Fit.

Crissup - love the pics, looks like you guys had a great time! We'll be at MNSSHP next week for the first time, can't wait.

Bunchkin - I'm with you on the weather, I love jeans and sweatshirt weather! Sleeping is great too when it's cool out.

paint, i will get the dog decal for you. i don't know what i am looking for but any dog on a decal for the car, i will buy for you.

slo, that is wonderful your daughter is now a server.

for me, bad luck again. i hope it is safe to say all of this here.
i had 2 doc appointments on monday, another one today and one more for wednesday. whew......i have some issues.

monday the doc did more xrays and said i need another leg mri on my good leg.
i ripped the cartilage on that leg on the outer knee area and down from it.
and i have a stress fracture on the lower leg.
i took a cortisone shot in the joint area in the lower thigh and he said it takes 3-5 days if it is successful in getting the swelling down.
the leg is huge from the thigh to the ankle.

i am supposed to be on bed rest, continue using the crutches i got 2 weeks ago and to wear the brace.

i figure i will do my packing last minute tomorrow night. or early in the morning on thursday.
i leave the house for ohare at 5am thursday.

i will try to stop by sometime tomorrow.

Brrrr..........it's sure cold outside when I take the dog out first thing in the morning If I didn't have the issue with my hands, I would love this cooler weather, but with me having to wear gloves already, I really hate it!!!!! I can already feel my hands changing, and that really bums me out

Bunchkin - I thought about taking the girls there this year, but then I decided not to because of the money. It's a fun place though, but the money you spend really adds up fast I'm glad you had fun while you were there!!

ID - I"m sorry to hear about the ear infections It's good you caught it now. In fact, this reminds me to make a doctors appt for my girls. I always take them to the doctor right before we go on vacation - it gives me peace of mind.

Gracias for all of the good luck wishes! I know I panicked and blanked on a few areas. I am hoping for a C, which is very unlike me. I got my first C ever in last semester's Spanish. Oh well. It is passing,and I would get to go onto my third, and final, semester. Thank goodness!
Slo- I am lazy already. I send the dog out and watch him from the window. Too cold for me in the morning!

That happened to Alex. Make sure you are entering in the height correctly. His friend had him as 3 ft.

Tig..happy birthday! I keep wondering about getting a system and a Wi fit, Brian bought one for hsi gf, and she says it is helping to restore her balance/coordination. I need to go someplace and try one out.

ID..sorry to hear about the ear infections, my youngest got *tons* of those, so many we thought he might have to have surgery to repair things, but thankfully, he grew out of them. Hope they feel better soon. And, have a good trip!

Bunchkin..I love warm weather, so really miss summer when it slips away. However, I do LOVE when the trees change color, it is such a gorgeous time of the year. But, cold weather...uh, no..

Had to pick up DD from school early today. She had gotten sick after lunch. That girl has the most sensitive stomach. She's perfectly fine now. But school rules state that once they hurl they're out of there for the day!

DD has been dying to wear all her new lond sleeve shirts and sweaters I bought her recently. DS only cares about the one shirt I bought him that has a HUGE spider on it!!


slo The pumpkin farm was expensive!! With the coupon it was $46!! And then for 2 funnel cakes and a Coke it was another $12!
But we had to get the funnel cakes!!!! We haven't had a decent one since WDW got a new supplier for theirs, and now they're the worst funnel cakes ever!!!

Boys are doing homework.. we have homecoming on friday.. so tomorrow and this weekend is BUSY.. Eric has football practice and then marching band practice so he won't get home until 9 pm - leaves the house at 7 am ..lOOOOONG day.. then friday he plays the 5 pm game and with the band and marches in the 7:30 game, does the 1/2 show.. etc..Saturday is homecoming dance.

OOOPS I was typing this and remembered that I was supposed to order the flowers.. but they aren't open so I'll do it tomorrow..

No, we didn't. I thought he was supposed to start off the parade, but we watched the parade both times and didn't see him. Maybe he starts later in the season. We were sitting in the hub in front of the castle.

Were you there about 15 minutes or so before the parade? Because he starts shortly before the parade, but that's when it's in Frontierland. So he's gone well before the actual parade gets to the hub.

Although if it's at all wet, then he doesn't ride.

I haven't posted in a while! I guess the last time was Labor Day Weekend when I was going to go to Indy. I went there on Saturday, and we went to the pool and had fun. (I haven't really been swimming in over 20 years, and wasn't even sure I'd still be able to. I'm not a great swimmer, but I did finally figure out the breast stroke. ) But then later that night all of a sudden I got a sore throat, and felt pretty rotten the next day. I napped quite a bit. Then within the next couple of days I had a cold. So I wasn't the most fun guest ever , but it was still nice to see my friends, and I think the kids still had fun.

I've gotten my hotel vouchers and my magical express tags for my trip! It's two weeks from today. I've been keeping up with all the food at F&W, and when it gets a little closer and more reviews are in, I'll have to mark down what I want to try.

Mac, sure hope you are doing OK and that your leg trouble doesn't spoil your trip. You'll have to rent yourself one of them thar hot roddin' scooter jobbers! Seriously, though, I really do hope you are OK.

Bunckin, my birthday is in 3 weeks. DH was just really on the ball this year. He'd heard how hard it was to get the Wii Fit, saw it available on the Best Buy website and scooped it up when he had the chance. The kids are having a ball on it. Glad to hear you had a good time at the Pumpkin Farm. Happy Early Birthday to Lauren, too!!
I have to work Columbus Day, but kids and I are both off the day after. Do your kids have school that day? I thought about going to the Apple Orchard in Hobart. Depending on the weather, of course.

Paint, how'd you do on the test? My body comp (BMI) was within the normal range (upper aspect of it, mind you), but my Wii Fit age is 6 years older than I am. According to it, I should lose 6 pounds and work to improve my center of balance. Yeah, OK. I'll get right on that.

Slo, sorry to hear your hands are bothering you already. Have you ever tried those little hand warmers inside your gloves? They sell them in the camping section at Target/Walmart. They might really help if you are outside for an extended period of time. See you Friday around 12:30? If that is OK.
