Good morning everyone!

Slo How's Sophie doing? I really like that name by the way. I bet the girls are having fun with her.

Piglet I am sorry to hear your daughter is not feeling well. Is she doing any better?

It's time to jump in shower and get a start on another busy day.

:surfweb:

The work at work keeps coming - which is great :yay: :woohoo:
There's so much to do, that it's freaking me out a little bit, but I can handle it.:)

Sophie did really well at work yesterday - I was proud of her!!!!! :dog:
I'm looking forward to having her at work with me again today :goodvibes

Speaking of today - my Stephanie is 10 years old today :bday:
I can't believe she's in "double digits" as she would say:eek:
Time is going by to fast!!!
She wants to go out dinner Culvers tonight, and then we are taking her to Game Stop (a video game store around here) to pick out a new game for the Wii that we are giving her for her bday.
We are not having a party for her until August 3rd, and that is going to be a combo party for both girls, because Katie's bday is August 21st.

paint - Shelties are sweet dogs :dog: What kind of dog do you have now?

piglet - I"m sorry to hear that Lauren is sick :guilty: Please keep us posted on how she is doing, and I'll send lots of get well PD her way :wizard: :wizard:

DG - That's terrible customer service that the hotel didn't tell you they were moving your reservation:mad: Thank goodness that guy told you about it - that was nice of him!!!

HERSEY - Thanks for the compliment about her name - she really does look like a Sophie:goodvibes She is doing really well, and is adapting to our family. The girls do love her, but I have to watch them with her, because they want to play with her like she's a bigger dog, and she's so little. Sophie will keep up with them, but I get worried about her getting hurt, because she looks so fragile (compared to the big dogs we've had in the past. My Sampson (German Shepherd) wasn't this tiny when I picked him out at 4 weeks old).

Well, I gotta go workout
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: just a quick stop by to say hello! :wave2: lots to do today at work!

Slo, glad to hear Sophie is adapting so well. I know what you mean about little dogs. I know with Kyle around that would never have worked here. He love to wrestle with Tiggs.
Paint, your trip is just around the corner!! Are you packing yet? Take lots of pix to share.
I just had a creative memories party a couple weeks ago and bought the software package for making scrapbooks online. I bought the Disney Vacation package!! Can't wait to finally do something neat with all my pictures that I have from our Disney trips on my computer.
Got my ME stuff in the mail today!!:woohoo: I love getting stuff from Disney in the mail. Just means the trip is getting closer. The ticker is almost to the days countdown.
Mac, thanks for the listings again.
Piglet, is your DD doing any better today?:wizard: Hope she is better soon. Summer sick is not fun.:sad2:
Hi Hersey, hope you are having a great summer.
Well, we are off to the library today to see a magic show, so I guess I had better finish picking up from lunch and get ready to go.
Have a great day everyone.

I feel so out of the loop here. :scratchin.

I have to do some reading.

Thanks to all for the Happy B-day's for Hunter!! He thought that was really neat to see so many people wishing him a happy b-day online!!! :goodvibes
We had a great weekend. We stayed at a really nice hotel with a great pool for little kids. Both kids enjoyed it so much! The AG sale was great! We got lots of great stuff at great prices. We also went back on Sunday too. Did some shopping at the Mattel outlet too, which is connected to the AG offices. Ate at some great joints! Awesome weekend.
Looking forward to next year's sale!
Anyone who is interested....let me know!! :thumbsup2

Updated the Wall.E meet thread a bit ago too.
No movie times for the weekend are out yet. So I'll re-update when they do. ;)

Hope you went out to dinner somewhere yum-o!!! ::yes::
How did the portrait sitting go?

Hope everyone is able to make it to the WALL.E meet this Sunday!!!! :yay:

Hi guys!

I am currently sitting in Panera enjoying a chicken salad sandwich and strawberry poppyseed salad, ALONE  . It was a tough day with DS7 and I told DH I needed time out tonight ;) . I think summer is wearing on the poor kid, he really likes structure, schedule, etc and I'm more laid back especially in summer.

The family photo shoot went OK. The picture came out pretty good but they were very, very expensive. I also didn't like that the person was so secretive with the pricing, I never did get to see a breakdown of how much each individual item was. I think I'm going to send a note to the pastor to let him know how our thoughts.

Dropped DD11 off at Girl Scout camp Sunday, she won't be home until Friday. I miss her :sad1: , I hope she's having fun. I'm sure she is, she's doing a horseback riding camp so I know she's loving it. I just hope she's not getting rained on too much.

Bunchkin - saw the update for the Wall.E meet. DS7 has been asking to see the movie again so this will be perfect timing. DH probably won't make it, he takes a guitar class at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago on Sundays.
*Glad you had a great weekend!

slo - Happy Birthday to Stephanie!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
How is her foot doing? I hope it's healing nicely.

piglet - how's your dd feeling? I hope she's better soon, it stinks being sick especially in summer!

Tiggerrn - congrats on the new van. Don't you just love that new car smell! :)

paing - oohhhh you're almost to single digits!! Are you all packed  .
*Sorry you're not going to make the Wall.e meet, maybe next time.

:wave2: to all the other Chicago homies!

Ok, going to go do some surfing while I've got some alone time......Maybe some trip planning since there are no little eyes looking over my shoulder :rolleyes1 .

Have a great night everyone. :flower3:

Hi everyone!! Been off visiting the mouse from July 10-20, so haven't read anything in the past 10 days. Did I miss anything?

We did 2 days in Vero Beach, then 8 days at the Boardwalk Villas. Rained everyday we were in Orlando. I mean torrential downpours. At one point while in the Magic Kingdom Emporium, we saw a very bright lightning flash out the door at the exact same moment we heard a *very* loud crack of thunder, so it was right there! It scared a lot of people. As we were returning Carol's ECV 5 minutes later in the pouring rain, I could smell ozone, so I know it struck very near.

Needless to say, our 99 cent rain ponchos from Bass Pro Shops got well used last week!

Hi folks...haven't posted here in a while...

does anyone need a Wii Fit? I bought an extra one...but the person has changed their mind

I thought I'd ask here before I return it.....since they are tough to find...I am not looking for a profit or anything...it has the original receipt from Target etc...

hope everyone is well...

Kristine

we have only lived here for 23 years and finally able to get new windows.
i was excited until i released windows are not something i can wear or eat...

i'll be back when your alarms clocks go off in a few hours.

slo, hope daughter's foot heals and no ouches for her.

Thank you so much for everyones birthday wishes for Stephanie:goodvibes I will have to show them to her when she wakes up. She had a great day, even though it wasn't with me :guilty: (not that I'm complaining about having alot of work to do - I just wish I could have been with her more on her birthday). She went to my mom's and she baked a birthday cake all by herself (w/ my mom's supervision of course), and it's chocolate w/ chocolate icing, and on top it has sprinkles and marshmallows - yummy!!!! :teeth: Than last night we took her to Culvers, where I ate WAY TO MUCH  Whatever calories I burned working out the last 2 days, were put back on instantly. The flavor of the day there was Cherry Amaratto, and it was so so yummy!!!!:goodvibes Than we took her to Game Stop where she picked out a game for her Wii. Then we came home, had some of her birthday cake she made, and then Kevin set up the Wii. The 2 of them played that until 10:30pm, and it looks like so much fun!!!!! I didn't play, because I was sitting with Sophie on the floor - she's becoming very spoiled very fast :dog: So, Stephanie had a good day!!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks to those that asked about Stephanie's foot. Her foot is starting to heal nicely (slow, but nice). It's not hurting her much to walk on it anymore, but she hasn't been on it that much. I feel so bad for her that she's going to have a bad scar, but there's nothing that can be done about it. She doesn't seem bothered by it, but I also know that she understands that if she didn't have flip-flops on while riding her bike, this wouldn't have happened. She has learned her lesson, and she will now always were socks and shoes while playing outside ::yes::

DG - :wave2:

Tigggggernnnnn - I'm going to miss getting Disney stuff in the mail this year, because I love it when it comes too ::yes:: It's going to be quite an adjustment staying off property.

Leigh - :wave2:

Dan - So good to see you here!!!! :wave2 See you this weekend!!!!

Bunchkin - I'm so glad you had a good weekend:goodvibes I'm going to have to take Stephanie to that someday - especially when Katie starts having AG Dolls too - I'll need to cut corners wherever and whenever I can ::yes::
**Thanks for the compliment on my puppy name - I need to post a picture of her - she's so darling!!! I've been so busy at work, that I just haven't had a chance. I'll definitly do it soon!!!!

ID - Happy belated birthday to you!!!!! :cake:
**How nice that you were able to go out to lunch alone and be on the computer - I've never gone on the computer anywhere but home and work

Crissup - Welcome home!!!! I'm sorry it rained so much while you were at Disney :guilty: I hope you were still able to have a good rain despite the rain. Did you eat anywhere good? What did you think of Toy Story Mania?

Kristine - Hi there, good to see you!!! :wave2: What do you think of the Wii Fit? Have you used yours yet? Does it get your heart rate up? Do you think it is an actual workout? I'm not sure I'm completely sold on it being an actual workout until I talk to more people that own it.

Mac - How exciting about your new windows!!!! What type of windows are your getting? My new windows are all slide windows, and 5 of them have blinds inside - they are great!!!!!

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work early
Stephanie has to be at daycare by 8am so she can leave on there field trip to The Field Museum - she's really excited!!!!! This is her favorite museum, which surprised me a bit - most kids love the Museum of Science and Industry more.

Have a good day!!!

Crissup - Welcome home!!!! I'm sorry it rained so much while you were at Disney :guilty: I hope you were still able to have a good rain despite the rain. Did you eat anywhere good? What did you think of Toy Story Mania?

We still had a good time in spite of the rain. Not going to let a few feet of rain stand in my way. ;)

Toy Story Mania is a keeper. It's not quite like Buzz, but I can see why everyone keeps comparing it. It's probably the closest thing to compare it to. It's more like a carnival game where you do ring tosses and stuff like that with your gun. You pull a rope on the back of the gun to fire it. Lots of fun! We entered through the single rider line and were on and off within 15 minutes! The standby time was 70 minutes at that point.

We ate at a lot of places. We like to try places we either haven't tried before, or not recently. So, on check in day, while we were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to run over to the Sand Trap Grill for a quick lunch, since the girls had never been there before. They're building the new Marriott Resort on the property there that they bought from Disney and the Osprey Ridge golf course will be closing down in two years. Sadly, that includes Disney's Sand Trap Grill. Always a good lunch there quickly and with a great view, and no mobs of guests! We also ate at Shutters, at the Caribbean Beach Resort. It was very tasty. Good food with a Caribbean flair. Of course, we also did several of our favorites. Chefs de France, Cape May Buffet, Trails End Buffeteria for breakfast (best breakfast deal on Disney property), Celebration Towne Tavern, etc. We ate our way across the world! :thumbsup2

Morning! Today is my last shift, then I get two days off! Woo! I think I am too old for waitressing! We were busy last night and my right hip is killing this morning! Anyway, my dad and my youngest sister's boyfriend are coming down and staying with us the next few days. They are going to help dh build a deck off the back of our house. It will be nice having them here. Tonight, dd and I are having a girl's night. I think we are going to see the AG movie.
Hunter, Stephanie, ID-:woohoo: :dance3:  Happy Bday!
Slo- Sorry to hear about dd's foot. I did the same thing when I was little, only I was barefoot! I learned my lesson. DD gave herself a nice injury last night, though. She was standing on a little wrought iron chair she had dragged from her bedroom to the bathroom (so she could see in the mirror). Of course, I told her she was going to get hurt and to put it back. Well...moments later I hear blood curdling screaming. She jumped off the chair and caught the back of her leg. She gave herself a nice long slash up the back of her leg! Luckily, it didn't need stitches and once I bandaged her up and snuggled with her, she passed out for the night! No swimming for her the next few days. That'd sting like the dickens!
Crissup- Welcome back. I am leaving and can't wait to eat around the world myself! Did you happen to try Yak and Yeti?
ID- Hope you enjoyed your break at Panera! Know what I don't like, though? How you always smell when you get back from Panera...kind of like baked bread but not in a good way. Does that make sense?
Mac- New roof at 6:20 a.m.? Yikes!
Tig- Not packing yet but setting stuff aside- got a nice pile going in the corner!
Bunchkin- Yep! Hmoon almost here! Your mooning comment make me think of the Humonga Cowabunga wterslide at Typhoon LAgoon...I was practically mooning people when I got off of it. My suit was so far up it was barely retrievable!

Okay- time to get a workout in before work!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: for some reason I have been crazy exhausted the past few days. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. :confused3 but i did... they are doing construction on the railroad tracks near the station I go to so they closed off the main road... let me tell you... I got there at 640ish and the northwest parking lot (where I normally park) was already more than half full and the northeast parking lot only had a hand full of spots left... I feel bad for the people on the busy trains that come around 730ish. jeesh. the south parking lot looked empty though (b/c nobody could get to it unless you 1. live south of the tracks or 2. take a 15 minute detour) I guess i just need to leave a little earlier tomorrow, oh well!

Slo ~ glad to hear Stephanie had a nice birthday and her foot is healing well!

Crissup ~ Glad you had a wonderful trip! Sorry to hear about all the rain though!

ID ~ Glad the photo shoot went well! Hope DD has fun at camp!

Bunchkin ~ Glad to hear Hunter had a nice bday and that your trip was nice!

Tiggern ~ Hope you had fun at the Library magic show!

Paint ~ have a nice 2 days off. Sorry to hear about your hip. Have fun at the movie with DD.

Everyone else ~ :wave2:

Have a great day!

Hi Slo...:)

Yes, I have to say I like the Wii Fit.....there are 3 levels...yoga, strength training & aerobics....and you can get your heart rate up on the aerobics...the little trainer guy in the game had me running in place for a half an hour :scared1:

It's nice to see the kids with a video game that causes them to move around a bit...they are so darn competitive that they will work it until they beat each others high score....I was hula hoop queen for a day!! :rotfl:

Dgal- Hi there! I forgot to mention I loved the placecard holders! Are you getting any WDW themed stuff? My dsis got the cutest unity candle holder- frosted glass with clear Mickey heads.
Slo- Also for got to tell you w have a Sheltie now. He is 9 (and I hate to think about this), and is in great shape, but, well, you know...anyway, we'd like to get another. He needs a pup to liven him up a bit.
Kristine and Slo- My dsis has a Wii Fit. dh tried it out and it said he was obese! His little figured ballooned out on screen! Horrifying! Dared not step on that in a room full of people!:rotfl2:

Dd's injury is going to get old, rather quickly! I had to change her t.v. channel already for her and she ate breakfast standing up. Don't even get me started on the bathroom. I felt like I was potty training her all over again. I had to hold her in a "hover"!

I put a password on my little chunky figure....no way did I want every person the kids had over looking at my weight, BMI etc...can you imagine??!!:eek:

Evening all!! Not a long post. Kids are chomping at the bit to go out for ice cream. (I love summer!!! I love our ice cream shop!!!)
Crissup, just wondering how was Cape May Cafe? We have ressies there our first night. Thought we'd eat and then wander over to Epcot for Illuminations. Do they have a "normal" kids meal (because my kids are so "normal" that they'd never try anything different.:rotfl: Might kill 'em)? Glad to hear you had a good time. Hot????
Slo and Paint hope both your DDs are healing well and quickly.
Piglet, I think I forgot to mention, glad to hear your parents have their puppy back!!!
Bunchkin, I am considering a trip to that mall myself for some Lego Building!!! What bargains did you find at AG?
Well, I had better run. Kids are getting restless and a turtle sundae is calling my name (walked 3 miles today so I think I am allowed one :rolleyes1 )
Oh, love the van!!!!!!

Crissup- Welcome back. I am leaving and can't wait to eat around the world myself! Did you happen to try Yak and Yeti?

Yes, we did! :) We had just left the Nemo show and I suggested we check out Yak & Yeti's for lunch. We were seated right away and the food was very good, although a bit pricey. But then, I knew that it wouldn't be cheap being in the park. It started raining just as we finished and we made a run for the Safari ride. It was pouring while on the safari and I'd never seen so many animals out in plain view. At one point, there was a baby giraffe standing on the edge of the road as we drove past slowly.

Overall, we were expecting large crowds considering it was July. However, the crowds were actually fairly light. Rock-n-Roller Coaster was a 75 minute wait for standby and the new Toy Story ride was only 70 minutes. You could definitely tell that the economy is causing people to stay home.
