Any thoughts on what this creature might be?
I found it out back, it's about 3 inches long w/ pinchy things on it's underside.
Oh..... and it squirms.

Looks like a caterpillar of some sort. But 3 inches long?! That is very long.

I told you they're coming for you.
He he he...if it starts multiplying I'm going to burn the house down.
A few weeks ago it was a tarantula, now this...
Why do creepy little beasts seem to feel welcome in my home? :confused3

Do you have spruce trees near your home?

Just put the poor lil' fella back outside. I think he is cute!
I put him back outside under a tree.
I'm going to keep checking on him!

Oh well, so much for my theory. He looks a bit like a spruce budworm... on steroids. :confused3

I was going to say he looks like a tomato caterpillar type. We used to get 10 cents a caterpillar when I was a kid. I guess there were a lot of them on the vines way back then. :)

They also make quite a disgusting noise when stepped on. We used to pick them off and step on them as they are destructive pests.

you can search this site, and send them the picture too for help:

Thats how I figured out that the giant spider I was sure wanted to carry off my child was an orb weaver. (They say it is harmless but I don't believe them!)

ETA: I looked at the 1st caterpillar page and it lokes like the 4 horned sphinx...about 10 pics down from top ???
