:jumping1: WAY TO GO VICKY :jumping1:
Sue, it is wonderful when you can be there to experience your child's accomplishments. I'm so glad for you both!

Darlene

Ed
I am so sorry about your loss. Let us know when the new kittens arrive and we will all feel better.
Darlene

Doreen - Jaclyn was standing next to Carmen and Me because she knows who the cool people are. Actually Im kinda surprised Daniel wasnt by me too - after all he was always on a constant search so he could say those magic words "MOM - I found Ginny" LOL

Terry--I think that might have been more like seconds rather than minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if we passed one another in the lobby, but there were so many people there it would have been very hard to pick someone out. Especially, given the fact that I was looking for my "LOST" other half, who was busy looking for "LOST" clothes left behind at the Radisson before we left for our cruise the week before.

We are having a beautiful day here in South Jersey, it is :sunny: and temps near 50 degrees. This time next Friday, we will be eating Rock Shrimp at Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, FL!!!!! I can almost taste them now!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I was trying to think of something really earth shattering to say since this is my 7500th post on the DIS, but the only thing I can think of right now is that we might be putting a deposit down in a piece of property in Florida next week. It's a double lot, with an older mobile home on it, but that doesn't matter because once we retire and get down there, we're going to buy a new double wide home to replace the older home that is there now. At least we will be able to say that we are Florida homeowners!!!

:cheer2: TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a GREAT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

AH-HA!
We can have the pre-cruise campout/slumber party at your house after all!!!

Dori :teeth:

LYN

I love your son! Your post about his b-day gift to you made me cry. Gotta love a son who thinks like that. :goodvibes

Darlene

Terry, I will never forget you either. :flower3:
You guys have all been wonderful to me in these difficult months. You have truly made a difference.

Darlene

DORI

Darlene

Yes, in Florida, you will want to have your BUG SPRAY!!! LOL!!! :rotfl:

How can you forget the "SPOONS"..lol all the kids had spoons hanging off their ears my the end of the meal. :rotfl2: It was so cute.
Even BOBBY Jr was doing it..

Karen is surpising my dad when she comes home tomorrow. He has no clue  Karen had a grear time in DISNEY so ANDY its closer for your trip.. so get packing. Her knew help up well. She was alone so she had no one to prod her along.. so if ANGELINA wants to go faster.. you may need a W/C..lol :rotfl:

Ginny how can we forget "MOM I FOUND GINNY.".. I know, he is irritating at times,, but with all my medical problems he is my right had man,, he is my saving soul. he helps me when I forget where I put EVERYTHING... sadly,, he reminds me that he can remember better than I can.. He Helps me with EVERYTHING!!! :worship:

If we do something on SPRING break he may not be there.. he is gong to KAREN's on the 15 of APRIL and I wont be back till the 18th.. and Karen and I will meet half way on the 24th.. so when is BRUNCH?? :flower: Or MAYBE we can do a more definate date in the summer like MARYROSE was talking.. but that was pre WORK talk for her,,lol. Make a weekend CAMP OUT,,lol :scared1: SMOOTHIE party..lol :cool1: :goodvibes. ANY ONE GAME???

Darlene - With all the reminiscing going on. I thought that I would tell you that I never really realized who it was that I had 'rescued' at The Tulum ruins until you posted something about it on the board after the cruise. When I looked inside the case to see who had lost it, I saw a card for a "Sandra" and didn't make the connection until your post.

I know that I didn't spend much time with most of you on the last cruise. There were two reasons for that. I had just joined the board about a week or so before the cruise and didn't really know any of you, yet. And Devin was at a really awkward age (too old for the 'kid stuff', too young for the 'teen scene'). So I spent most of my time hanging out and doing stuff with him.

Don't worry. I don't think that we'll have the same problem this next time. Devin has been bugging me to get him set up on the DISboard, so he can start linking up with some of the other kids in our group. He'll probably also be old enough (at 14) to not want to hang out with mom all the time on the next cruise. I'm looking forward to it!

Dori :cool1:

Hey Dori :wave2:

I did not mean to leave you out of my "reminiscing"! I was just looking at the pic and commenting on who was there at the brunch in NJ. I also don't mean to leave anyone else out, who wasn't in the pic, but who was on the cruise with us! I have a lot of memories of ALL of you :sunny:

Dori, I am hoping that my DS13 (almost 14 now, but will be 15 when we cruise next) will hook up with some of the DIS cruise kids! On last year's cruise he was only 13 and did not hit it off with any of the teens in the Stack. Most of the kids there were older teens, apparently. He hardly spent time there and really was left out of a lot, basically that I found out about after we got home. I told him that there were so many of the DIS kids who weren't quite 13 last time, so he didn't really get a chance to get to know them, but they WILL be teens on the next cruise, so I think he'll be a lot more comfortable in the Stack next time. Right off the top of my head, I can think of Devin, Daniel, and Joanna's older DD. Who else will have "younger" teens on the cruise next year? I also remember you and Devin from the Tulum ruins excursion. Were Darlene and Sandy and Stan on our bus too? I must've missed them. :confused3

DORI
The kindness of a stranger is never forgotten.
Darlene

PS Hope we get to hang out this cruise.

Terry - I think that they were on the other bus (remember, there were two). Darlene was so grateful that I had found their water-proof case. She needn't have worried, though. When we crossed paths, I was on my way back to my bus to see if anyone had lost it. If it hadn't been from our bus, then I would have made our bus wait while I took it over to the other bus. And as frantic as Darlene was at the time I have a hard time believing that she would have let the other bus leave without it.

Is there a teen thread for our cruise yet? If not, then maybe we should set one up for them.

Dori :flower:

Doreen--we aren't doing any parks on this trip to Florida. We will be going to Deleon(sp) Springs as per Angelina's request, so she can go swimming. The spring is near my mom where we will be staying during this trip. Hazel and I will be property searching next week. Our trip to WDW will be this coming August.

Speaking of Angelina, she will be getting ready to turn 16 a few weeks after our August 2006 cruise.

Lunchtime is nearly over, gotta get back to work. :sad1:

Terry, I know Jaclyn is upset about Craig being 18 on this next cruise and she will be 17. Yes DANIEL will be 13.5. He spent most of the time with me too. I was going from the adult pool with you LYNN and KAREN to the family pool with DANIEL.. AWW the memories....

DORI,, you and I kept bumping into each other I know. To bad DANIEL and DEVIN didnt get to talk.. they sound like they are into some of the same science type stuff.. But I am not sure by the next cruise.. DANIEL may start to like  GIRLS.. ( INSERT DRAMCTIC MUSIC NOW). :rotfl2: JACLYN has been teasing him lately that he will be a teen ager soon and girls will be calling him soon.. :love1: I for one will wait for another 5 yrs thank you very much....He is tall and of course good looking to me.. and SMART..lol

DARLENE,, It feels like STANS illness was so long ago and we were right along side you every step of the way. Its so weird that we are such "ODD" friends but we do know each other and we have grown with each other through some major milestones too. We may never go on another cruise or vacation again.. but we will always be friends for a long time. Ok I have to stop before you make me cry again,,lol :flower3:

WHAT >>> its snowing here.. its 43 * and i just washed my car inside and out.. TINA did you sneeze again???

FOR MY FRIENDS
DARLENE
There was a nice picture of a woman in a purple hat here, but it did not copy over. Sorry.

Purple Hats!

In honor of women's history month and in memory of Erma Bombeck who lost her fight with cancer. Here is an angel sent to watch over you.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck

(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's." More "I'm sorry's."

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it .. live it and never give it back. Stop sweating the small stuff.

Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.

Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.

Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally. I hope you all have a blessed day.

Send this on to all the women you are grateful to have as friends. Maybe we should all grab that purple hat earlier. Please send this to five phenomenal women today in celebration of Beautiful Women's Month. If you do, something good will happen: you will boost another woman's self esteem.

Now if we could have kept talking like this we would have hit 200 pages today, but we slowed down a bit around Mar 2nd :rotfl2:

Hard to believe its 74 weeks to go, I want to get on board now.

At least I have Aug to look forward too.

I just added a couple more days to my vacation, now starting Aug 3rd and going back to work Aug 29th, Yahooo :cool1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Hi everyone :)

Hope everyone is doing okay after having your Friday night smoothies.

Darlene - How is Stan doing and how are you holding up? The thing written by Erma B. is so true. If I could, I would go to WDW more and worry less about how I'm getting the money to pay for it. LOL

Terry - count me in for any meet/get together. Thanks for posting the picture from the breakfast. It's great seeing it again. I was so nervous :scared1: about meeting everyone that I almost left the parking lot when I got there. Then I figured anyone who likes Disney this much has to be good. ::yes:: And I was right. Everyone made me feel soooo welcome that I am glad I went. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. :jumping1: Is Peter Pank going to be big enough? :confused3

Lyn - way to go on your weight loss. I think I found it. :rotfl2:

Mary - hope your father feels better soon and take care of yourself.

Sue - congrats to Vicki on winning the award for Excellence in the Field of Photography. Maybe she can give me lessons when we meet this August.

Ed - sorry to hear about your cat. They do get to become part of the family, don't they?

Andy - :bounce: Great - no Physical Therapy means you're getting better.

Hello to everyone else that I didn't mention.

About starting a teen chat for this cruise - my DD wanted to start one awhile ago but I think there were no responses. I think it would be a great idea for the teens etc to have a chance to get to chat with each other. :chat: If anyone wants to IM her - Lindsay's screen name is
Lilgchottie926@aol.com

Are we at 200 yet? Maybe by April fool's day? :scratchin

Today at work was cleaning day. I put some of my Mickey ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo stuff together on one section of my desk and my family pictures :love1: in front of me. I guess with DS Harley's birthday last Tuesday, I was thinking about the very first time I went to WDW with my children. DS was almost 2 1/2 and DD was 9 months old. I ordered the Disney channel on cable so they would know who Mickey Mouse was etc. I kept telling them we were going to see Mickey. After a long drive to WDW, we finally arrived at the timeshare (Orange Lake), opened the door and Harley ran in. Minutes later, he came out crying  saying "Where's Mickey?" I realized I should have said that we were driving to Florida and we would visit Mickey and friends. He thought Mickey was staying with us.

About one year later, again at Orange Lake (timeshare), DD Lindsay took her very first steps on her own. Ah, what great Disney memories - and memories are priceless.

Anyone else want to share some of their great Disney memories? Then again, aren't they all great? Let's make it to page 200.

Have a great weekend to all my DISfriends.

Bev
