How is everyone doin'? I hope Stan & Bev's Mom are doing well! And for everyone with injuries (Andy, Karen etc) hope you're feeling better soon. Karen, have a great trip! Doreen if you're headed towards LI, please let me know. Ginny fingers crossed for Bob's job. I hope the snow is behind us now too! Since I've been working my kids have had three snow days and three delayed openings. CCD also has been cancelled three times (and to think I was worried about what I was going to do with the kids in the summer LOL!)

If I change to late seating can I link reservations with you guys. Do most people have late seating? I think I thought late seating messed up my nighttime drinking (LOL I was too full too drink some adult libations) which is why I chose early this time. Well even if are dinners are split up we are still going to plan shore excursions together right? And we are definitely having are Castaway Cay Dis Meet complete with running, screaming, blender-welding, ice-carrying, smoothie-making DIS friends RIGHT???????

I love catching up with this thread I desparately need a vacation which may not come for 72 weeks! But if you remember we started this thread in the triple digits so we've already come so far!


I'm going to go read some more now but I wanted to pop in with a quick post for now.

Thanks for the count down to spring.

Had a brief taste of spring today, Went food shopping, on the way there, bright sun , felt so good , but I had to stop and go into the store,. I came out and asked where did the sun go , it was cloudy and cool again.


Oh well it least I had a hint of what to come.

Sorry all, for our first cruise with a 7 yo we choose an early seating.
As we get closer maybe some of us Early seating folks will link together.

We've had a beautiful day here today with temps reaching 45 for a high. The front of our house faces south, so we get a lot of sun shining in the living room. This afternoon, I opened our entry door and laid on the floor letting the sun bake me just inside the full glass storm door. I fell alseep for about 30 minutes and I think my face got a bit of sunburn, but it sure felt good.

Carmen: Glad to see you back! I am link with Terry, my friend Maryann and Doreen linked us with everyone on her list. It is going to be a big group. Come on switch over to late seating and we can close down the restaurant each night as they clear the tables around us!

I think a meet at Peter Pank would be great, most of us know about where it is now.

I wanted to report that I have joined Bally's gym with Bob and he is killing me, but I lost 9lbs now. Only about 50 more to go, do you think I will make it by next August?

Well My dear friends

I dont want you to think that I am avoiding you, but this blooming quiz I am hosting on the UK community board is taking up so much of my time, posting questions, sorting out pms with answers, calculating scores etc etc.

Anyway almost half way through now and to be truthful with you I am throughly enjoying it.

Well Vicki finished school last week for a month. The next two weeks she will be working with me and my collegues in my office on work experience, and then she is off for 2 weeks on Easter break and I have a week off to yippee. We have her awards presentation this coming Wednesday evening, I will let you know if she wins anything, fingers crossed.

Terry: Hope you picked up my post on the UK community board, any information you want I can always send you. I travel all over the country and over the next few months I will pick you up some travel and information leaflets from all areas and send them to you.

Lyn: Well done on the weight loss, mine is going the wrong way I am afraid on instead of off, I keep telling myself it's my age!!lol
The magical express sounds great, unfortunatley they dont do it from Sanford which is where I fly into.

Darlene: Hope Stan is holding up. Hope you are well.

Andy: Glad you and the family had a good time at Atlantic City. Tell Angelina that Gwen is popping up all over our telivision networks at the moment promoting her new single,I notice she still has her dancing girls with her, Vicki has just purchased her new album and she loves it, have to admit it is quite toe tapping. Hope you have'nt burnt your face too much today in that sunshine.

Doreen: My goodness I think we will take over the whole resturant the way we are going, a funny thing happened the other day, I had to get in touch with DCL internationl customer services with an enquiry, and the guy who was dealing with it, asked me if I knew that I was linked up with a whole lot of people from the US. I laughed and told him all about us all,and he could not believe how many friends I had made from across the pond. I told him that's the beauty of the Dis Boards lol.

Carman: Great to see you (in writing of course) come on, change to late seating and link up with us all. I am sure we will be having a few meets on this ship, by the pool, Castaway Cay,etc etc.

Tina: Are you away in Vegas right now, I know it was soon. Have a great time.

Ginny: Good luck with your husbands job. Hope you got your seating sorted out the other day.

Andy, you just jogged the most wonderful memory! YES you can stand an egg on end! DS#3 actually had dozens of eggs standing on end all over my kitchen when he was a freshman in HS. He had learned about it in school and came home to eggsperiment. We had the best time and I videotaped it...of course eggs don't do much...just stand there...

Hi everyone

I'm glad that Stan, Bev's Mom, Andy, Karen, and all of the other "wounded" are doing ok! *HUGS* to all of us who aren't feeling well or are recovering. Do all of you remember the weeks right before our cruise when so many of us were getting sick or injured?? Yikes! It's WAY too early for all of us to be starting with that again!!

Well the latest and LAST update on our Disney trip is that we'll be at the Wilderness Lodge in a concierge room for the first 2 nights of our trip, then in a lagoon view concierge room at the Polynesian for the last 3 nights. It was making me nuts wondering if anything in concierge at the Polynesian was going to open up for the entire trip so when John suggested we do a split stay (since we saw online that lagoon concierge was available for the last 3 nights at the Polynesian), I called CRO and booked it immediately last night! I am still transferring my reservation over to Dreams. In fact just this evening I faxed them over my signed authorization. Now I will RELAX about this trip and leave the planning to Dreams and the concierge teams at the resorts! Whew! LOL

Sue: Yes I did see your reply, as well as the others. I will post on that thread probably in the morning. Thanks so much! It was fun "seeing" you on that thread, I was hoping/wondering if you'd reply! My DS13 Robby is SO excited at the thought of going to England! He has been fascinated with castles and the medieval time period since he was practically a toddler and has been checking out the tourist web sites all weekend. DS16 Craig also loves this time period, as do John and I. We all have our passports and can't wait to use them to travel across the pond. We will absolutely visit Wales! We just need one area of England to "center" our trip around, then go out from there to do some day trips. Is London a day trip from you? Or would we want to stay overnight in London? I imagine we'd want to stay at least overnight so we could see a decent amount of the sights there. Ok, enough on this thread, I will reply more on the other thread!

There are so many of us now that I think I need to start taking notes so I won't leave anyone out when I reply.

Lyn: Congrats on your weight loss efforts!! I really think that just getting started and losing those first pounds are the hardest. Keep up the great work!!!!!

Mary Rose: YES! Link your reservations with all of ours! We'll have a blast!! :thewave: Maybe some of the kids will want to sit together and then us adults can sit together. (I don't mean officially split up the families, I just mean for a night or two, if the kids want to!)

Ed and Andy: It was sunny here today too. We got about 6" of snow yesterday and some of it melted today but tonight when John and I got back from shopping my driveway was a sheet of ice again. Andy, your nap in the sun sounds wonderful!

Doreen: Your Irish party at Daniel's school sounds like a lot of fun!

Mary: I hope Tim gets good news about the store! Let us know

Dori: Devan's display sounds great, wish I could see it! I hope he does well in the competition! We have wireless internet in our house and I love it. I like taking the laptop outside in the nice weather (IF we ever get any nice weather this year). lol

Karen: I hope you are having a lot of fun with Mickey and Minnie! And by the way, I'm wearing "Hoo Doo Voo Doo" if you know what I mean!! (Remember our conversation at the pool?? LOL)

P.S. I am LOVING my new washer and dryer! I already see a huge difference in how our clothes look. The set just went on sale this weekend, so Sears will give us back the difference. The salesman told us last week that they were most likely going on sale this week (I think he knew for sure but couldn't really say), so he told us to bring back the receipt and he'd take care of it.

Someone that works at my sons school with me, is going on the WESTERN DCL over the NEW YEARS CRUISE so I gave her all my books and info and told her about the DIS BOARDS.. she told me I should book peoples cruises myself since I knew so much info... I told her I knew it only because of my great friends on here..

Ok now its 5am.. and my foot is killing me so i wil get back to crochet. I have made 4 KELLY GREENfuzzy scarves for St PATS day.. need one more by WEDNESDAY...

Spring arrives in 6 days!!!


Terry-I was thinking the same thing while watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition last night. I saw your W/D combo and said that's Terry's new set!!! LOL!!!

Speaking of the show, Hazel and I were fighting over the tissue box again last night several times during the show. That little 8 year old girl was amazing with all she was doing. It was neat to see Mickey and his helpers paint the hospital rooms for all the sick children, and what Ty and his crew did for the family was truly amazing.

Well, it's time to start getting Angleina up and ready for another day at school, then I'm off to work.

Have a "GREAT" day everyone, Spring "IS" just around the corner, even if we can't see it just yet!!!

Hi everyone

I should take a picture of my washer/dryer I'm sure it doesn't look as nice in my laundry room as it does on Extreme Makeover. I've never really seen Extreme Makeover but I assume the laundry rooms they build are really nice. lol My laundry room is in one corner of the basement, although it is a separate room, it definitely looks "basement-y" in there. LOL It's funny that everyone I mention to about the washer and dryer seems to know all about it, and the funny thing is that John and I had never seen them or heard of them until we walked into Sears last weekend!! lol Again I have to say, I really like this set, and I can see a huge difference in our clothes, not to mention all the little "luxury" features and the pedastals that bring them up to waist height so there's no more leaning down and in.

I got my NEW 2005-2006 Disney Cruise Line planning brochure and DVD in the mail today. Anyone else get theirs yet? I ordered it from the DCL web site. It's a LOT different than the brochures in past years. It's smaller in size, like the size of a paperback book but thinner, and the format they tried to create was like a guidebook with places to write down info as you went along. It also includes a lot of Little Mermaid stickers, I think so you can mark off sections of the brochure that appeal to you. I haven't watched the DVD yet.

Just finished watching it. Funny, I guess Ive been reading too much and listening to this board. I didnt learn anything I didnt all ready know. And I havent even cruised yet

Sadly I was hoping for a little more magic from the DVD, I had the same problem with this year's planning DVD for WDW.

Oh well.

Well, Karen is down in DISNEY.. and went to MAGIC KINGDOM last night. It waas opened until 12 midnight.. I made sure to wake her at 7am..hehehe

TERRY.. is that an invite for all of us to bring our laundry to your house so we can see how clean our clothes can be too,,lol

hmmm I feel left out of course.. Last night my right foot was in so much pain from the old fracture( I am assuming) I went to bed at 2pm after work..and MARTY played DAD Now that was a sight... Its black and blue now that the doctor said its an old fracure with a nerve entraped... OUCH
I cant have surgery until MARTY has his surgery though( right foot) no driving no walking and so much pain....... I'm such a baby,,lol

Ok time to get some paper work done..
