Hi everyone :wave2:

WELCOME ABOARD, MIKE!!! Where in "Joisey" are you?? I grew up in Middlesex County and also lived in Ocean County for about 9 years before moving up here to Massachusetts about 8 years ago. I still have a lot of family in NJ and visit there frequently! :sunny: I love the Jersey Shore.

Darlene: I'm glad that Stan is doing fine! :) Is the metallic taste from the chemo? Is he on any antibiotic? When I had pneumonia about 4 1/2 years ago I was on a strong antibiotic that caused a metallic taste and it was pretty gross. I guess if that is the worst side effect that he gets, then that's not too bad! (although of course we wish he didn't have to go through this in the first place!) Anyway, give Stan and Sandy our regards, and also to your other DSs :)

Hey Andy! I found something in my bedroom dresser drawer that made me think of you! :earboy2: Ok everyone get your minds out of the gutter! LOL It's a set of spikey things that you attach to the bottom of your shoes to wear in bad weather to give you traction on ice and snow. They're called YAK TRAKS or something like that. They are brand new still in the package, they're yours if you think you want them! Let me know :) I'd hate for you to slip and hurt your knee again. And I really don't think I'll ever have a need to use them.

Sue: Thanks for posting the new info. I saw that thread over on the Cruise board this morning and thought they were all changes for the better :)

Dori: We really did share a very unique experience on our August 2004 cruise, didn't we?! :grouphug: It was so much fun and just "knowing" all of you onboard the ship made it that much more special. I think the fact that so many of us are choosing to sail together again, after not knowing each other before that cruise, really speaks for itself. :flower:

Joanna: You're right, we're going to need a very LARGE place for our DIS meet :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

 Hi to all my DIS friends

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and pixie dust. :wizard: I just took my mom HOME from the hospital. Doctors do not know exactly what caused her to pass out and all the tests, procedures etc came back fine ( except for the broken ribs). Thank you all for your well wishes. :chat:

Mike and family - welcome to the DIS family. This truly is a great group of people and I can't tell you how glad I am to be going on this cruise with them

Terry - with the nicer weather today, did you feel any better? Congrats on the new additions to your family. Use them well.

Sue - a belated Happy Mother's Day.

Hi to everyone that I didn't mention. I don't think my brain is totally functioning yet. :confused3

Hope everyone has a :sunny: day.

Bev ::MickeyMo

WELCOME MIKE AND FAMILY :flower:

Glad you found us. Like Dori said, "The more the merrier!"

You must be from NORTH Jersey with that accent. Where are you? We are down in South Jersey, y'all.

Darlene

Bev,

Glad to hear your Mom is home.

I'm wondering how many people are from Jersey going on this trip.
Seens like half the state :rotfl2:

Im in CT, but I do have family ties to Jersey. My mom was born in Jersey.

Catch you all later.

Thanks for thinking of me Terry, but the problem is with as many inside meters that I have to read I wouldn't be able to wear those YAK TRAKS. I had looked into something like that before, in fact, one of my customers tried to give me a pair of them the other day, and when I asked her if she wanted me to wear them walking across her kitchen floor she said, "No."

Bev--I'm glad to hear your mom is back home!!!

Good Morning Everyone !

Mike & Family : Welcome Aboard ! :wave2:

Andy: Glad someone had nice weather yesterday. :sunny: It was a little warmer here but rained. :umbrella: Now it's snowing. :rolleyes1

Terry: I see that washer and dryer set on extreme home makeover EVERY WEEK. I just love it. I have a working washing machine and dryer that there is NOTHING wrong with. :) I just don't have that one. :teeth:

Sue: Happy belated Mother's Day. I forget about you celebrating different evenys over there. Great job on the Disney quiz. Wow does that sound like quite the "JOB". :earseek:

Linda: If you read this when you get back.............I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS OF YOU RIGHT NOW. enough said. Hope your having a blast !! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Bev: I am glad your Mom is home . Thanks for updating us..........Get some rest. :grouphug:

Darlene: I hope Stan's treatments go as good as the first one. Although I haven't met him I feel as though I have through you. Sending your family some strong good vibes. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Sending my hello's to to people who I missed and the people who haven't posted on these boards for awhile. Tina

Tina, Oh no not more snow :rotfl2: Yep they say its heading our way too.

Rain now, but a sloppy wet snowy mix for the evening drive home.

They are saying 1 to 3 possible,

Andy what kind of mess will you be seeing today.
Take it slow.

Now how many weeks is it again to that cruise? :cool1:

Not sure what Andy will be getting but last night we got freezing rain. This morning it was freezing rain, now it is a mixture. They are calling for 1-3 inches of ick today. Tonight (we are near the line) between 6-8 or 8-10.

Tim leaves around 5 A.M. tomorrow to go to Mass. for his interview to "officially" become store manager. He will take the 4-wheel drive. If school keeps tomorrow (both districts are closed today) I may call in as I will have the car. Very seldom do I drive it so do not want to if the roads are bad.

As of today we will be going to school until June 16th! :sad2: Happy Summer Vacation! Better enjoy it because it is gong to be a short one!

Hope everyone is staying safe.

How is it down your way Andy??

Funny you should ask, Ed...

It seemed like everyone you asked on the August 2004 cruise was either from New York or New Jersey. (I'd bet a good 3/4 of the ship was.) Boy, did I feel out of place being a 'west-coaster'. :rotfl:

I just got in for lunch. I left for work this morning at 7:45 it was 50 degrees and raining, about 10:00am I started seeing some little snowflakes mix in with the rain, by 11:00am it was ALL snow and boy is it ever coming down. Yesterday at this time it was 64 degrees, now 24 hours later it is 30 degrees and the temps are still dropping. We are going from a high of 70 on Monday to a low of 18 tonight. :cold: :scared1: :sad2:

At least the ground is still quite warm and the snow that is hitting the ground is melting, at least for now it's melting, LOL!!!

Just saw on the Weather Channel we are expected to get 1-3 inches of snow before this ends later this evening. :guilty:

We leave for Florida two weeks from today!!! :sunny: :cloud9: :sunny:

I spoke too soon, the snow is now covering the ground, but the roads are only wet "so far." :confused3

well I just looked out the window, saw my first flake of the morning. A few mintues later and his friends came too. :sad2:

So much for it mixing.

OH NO, ANDY...Don't like what I am seeing outside the window. Be careful this afternoon.

Darlene

Ed,
Dori is right about the percentage of NJ/NY cruisers in late Aug. Even the cast members started making fun of it. I think it has alot to do with the start of school being after Labor Day in our states.

Dori - You were a welcome addition to our "east coast" cruise even if you are from the "west". :rotfl:

Darlene

Just to think Darlene, yesterday afternoon it was 70 degrees here in South Jersey, now take a look at this look from my front door looking across the street. Well, my lunch is over and I'm going back to work.
