95 weeks and counting, paid a little bit more off the cruise last night, I thought a little bit at a time and it should soon come down.

Doreen - Nearly there, I thought I would drive, just turned left into Ireland lol.

Andy and Hazel- Many many congratulaions on your 29th wedding anniversary,and wish you many more to come.

Terry- Pass our congratulations on to Robby on his National Junior Honor Society. Well done.

No, I won't be there, we just finished our basement and we have to paint the bathroom and get ready for the rug which is coming on Tuesday

HI everyone

First of all, thanks to everyone, for the "congrats" for Robby We're very proud of him. I think ALL of our kids are great kids!


Secondly, this is probably my last post for the weekend!! At the last minute, friends of ours invited us out to dinner tonight. We ended up taking a ride to Plymouth and having dinner in a nice waterfront restaurant, overlooking Plymouth Harbor. It's now 9:30pm and we haven't even packed yet! LOL Robby has fallen asleep, so I'll have to pack for him. And while we were out, our electricity went out, so we had to go around and reset all our clocks, and our internet went out so John had to reset the server. So....I still have a LOT to do tonight, and we hope to get to bed at a decent hour so we can leave early in the morning!!!

Thirdly, last night I got a bright idea that my niece and I should do a "roast" to my sister; you know, how they roast the celebrities at the Friar's Club in NYC. Basically, you pick on them, but in a nice way. And since this party is for my sister surviving cancer for 5 years, we thought it'd be funny! I wrote a cute little dialogue for my niece and I say to my sister, and then she took the song "Through the Years" by Kenny Rogers and re-wrote the words in a satirical way, to lovingly mock on my sister's habits. LOL Here is an example of one of the stanzas:

Through the years
Your shoes you never wore
After you walked thru your front door
And even on your couch
You never ate a crumb
Through the years
at least a dozen watermelons you slaughtered
If she were close enough you'd even hack your daughter
But we're so glad we stayed
Right here with you
Through the Years



I'm not sure if it's funny to all of you since you don't know my sister, but believe me, all her friends, family, and SHE will get a real kick out of this. We love her to death, so all of this is done in good fun, and nothing too mean. lol SO....my niece and I now have to practice all of this tonight, over the phone! LOL

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I can't wait to see all of you who are going to meet us for breakfast on Sunday morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lyn, give Matt our best and I'm glad he is finally scheduled. Hopefully he will get immediate relief.

Daniel looks just ducky! Doreen I am so proud of your posting accomplishment.

Stan had 2 drains placed in his abdomen. My poor guy! Hopefully there is not a problem with leakage from the colon. If there is then they will go back in and operate all over again. He'll be in the hospital until at least Monday when they do another catscan.

I hope you all have a wonderful time at breakfast on Sunday! Sure wish we could come. I'll be thinking of you.

Just thought I would share with you all that my dd Vicki passed her grade 3 drumming exam this morning. We are thrilled to bits, we are off tomorrow to buy her a new full drum kit.(pass the headache tablets please lol). No she really is very good and now wants to be "discovered" and hopes to join a band. Any of your kids need a good drummer??

We're starting out our Anniversary Weekend in grand style. Hazel woke up this morning with a horrible head cold. I'm the one who has been walking around in the cold, rainy, damp weather this past week, and Hazel is the one who wakes up sick, go figure, LOL!!!

Darlene, we are keeping Stan in our thoughts and prayers.
