Hi Jeff!

I was also on the 2004 and here in Old Bridge my kids missed the first two days of school because of the unexpected 10 days. It was traumatic for my kids who said that on the first two days who get your bus seat and your lunch seat. They were both horified to miss the beginning of school. Now missing time in the middle of the school year - well, they'd have no problem with that! LOL

I am sorry I couldn't help but laugh when reading this.

Oh those fond memories of where you sat on the bus was the most important thing in your life.

BTW...I live with a teenager so I know how traumatic life can be.

We got home late last night (Saturday) after a LONG and extremely trying day of travel. The week at WDW was nice, but the weather left a bit to be desired. To be honest, I'm disappointed that neither the cruise nor the land portion of the trip werre extended due to Ernesto!!!! We did get prime seats for the Wiggles concert on Thursday, as MGM was basically empty!!! All three kids got colds last week, and I got mine on Friday, making both plane landings quite painful!!! Everyone is tired and trying to adjust back to CA time. (Try to tell a baby that at 4 a.m.!!!)
We booked the repo home in August 2007, but doubt we'll actually sail then (at least that's how I feel today!!!) We'll be onboard August 2008 for sure. Would be interested in hearing about group rates....

Terry, thanks for all of the photos, great to see them all. Not sure of 2008 plans, we will rebook next August for a date in 2008 but not sure when yet.

Bev, I remember the time when you got your wrist slapped for mentioning another cruise and trying to get your friends to go. Yes, it does seem unfair that some have more rights than others? What happened to free speech? Or is free speech here only Disney speech? Not fair in my book.

Mary Rose, we were presented with our lanyards and our names by a group of lovely people when we were in the Polynesian the week before. They are brialliant and one of our most treasured items from the cruise.

To say we had a ball is Under Statement of the Year. Cannot recover from it but will have to!

Since I havent posted what i thought of the cruise I'm doing so now.

I thought it was a BLAST I met some of the most amazing people. I miss them all.

The only thing that pissed me off was the fact that the adult part would let a 17 year old be apart of it when they had no right to be there at all. Security was told about it several times and still did nothing because they think not with their top heads but the bottom if you know what i mean. I Think that they should get security who are female and they should card EVERYONE at the both entrances who wishes to be apart of the adults.

I cant wait until my cruise in 2 weeks hopefully it'll be better then this 1 was with that little facter. but other then that I dont think it could be any better. although it is an 11 day and the fact that i get to spend my bday on it is awsome.

yes, you are so right I hated how they didn't card people that much I saw at least two people there werent 18 that I met, I know I look young for my age but at least I am 18 lol

What tipped me off to the Western's costing more to the Eastern's was the fact that the first two cruises we took we used our DVC points. All the Western sailing points were more than the Eastern sailing points in each time frame category. I think that's why we always went with the Eastern sailings, until last month's Double Dip Cruise.

While discussing the 8/08 rebooking with a CM, they suggested Disney was planning something big for the 10th anniversary. They wouldn't commit but hinted that it might be a 10 day cruise for the 10th anniversary. Who knows?

If it turns out to be a 10 day cruise, I'd have to force myself to handle it.

Oh, the agony of waiting!!!!!

Angelina and I both put on about 5 pounds during our 7 day cruise last month, we have now joined Hazel in the WW points program.

We are now calling Hazel, "The Keeper of the Points" LOL!!!

Should we start the diet challenge for 2008? If I start now I should be able to lose 10 pounds by then (too many cruises, too many deserts until then)

If everyone else is going on the 16th, we'll go on the 23rd. Just joking. Please include us on the 16th too.

Lurker #1 Tina and Lurker #2 Tom, are you guys still out there lurking???

We met Tina and Tom during the cruise last month and they both admitted to being lurkers on our cruise meets thread, they are a sweet couple and Tom is a hoot!!! One of the pics in my cruise blog report is of Tom between Hazel and I during dinner on the last night in Animator's Palate. Tom came up to me and said, "Hey, I want to get my picture on your blog!" LOL!!!

When the subject comes up Missy and I always say that it would have been cool to pay for 7 days and get a 10 day cruise. In the big scheme of things missing a few days of school never amounts to anything. If you raise a good student then it won't really matter.

Well, Jeff, actually it *does* really matter. At least it does to my DSs, anyway. LOL Both of my DSs are Honor Roll students and have been their entire lives, especially Robby who's a High Honors student I think their reasons for not wanting to miss the first day of school were exactly what Mary Rose mentioned; they wanted to get back into the swing of things along with every one else on that first day.

And it's actually *because* they're such good, responsible students that they've asked us to not book family vacations during the school year, and we honor that request. Once they got to high school and had a much more demanding work schedule, they didn't want to have to make up so much work when they got back.

I figure, only 3 more years until Robby is out of high school, and even though Craig will then be finishing up college and Robby will be starting college, college has MUCH longer winter and spring breaks and ends sooner than high school, so we can cruise in the off season at that point

Ok Andy, I'll make the change. And my date is also based on the assumption that DCL will be doing weekly cruises again in 2008. If they do something different, we'll choose the date closest to the 16th and/or the middle of August.
