Just wanted to wish everyone who's flying this weekend, a safe flight.

I called SW last night, and was told we (in the U.S.) can bring our cell phones, Ipods, cameras etc on in our carry on - just no liquids.

I also called DCL and was told that at this time, they do not have any restrictions, like the airlines, regarding carry ons. However, this could change. I can bring a bottle of wine onboard in my carry on (if I don't drink it first)

I'm really up in the air whether to fly or drive now. I don't know which is better for my mom. (or me cause I'm nervous about flying - yes, I know, I'm a Travel Agent who's afraid to fly)

Anyway wishing everyone a safe trip to Florida and looking forward to seeing everyone safely on DCL for our "MAGICal" cruise next week.

Well everyone.... It has been a WONDERful and MAGICal couple of years, sharing the anticipation of the cruise with all of you. Whether you've been here from the first day, or only recently came aboard this thread, I am truly looking forward to meeting EACH and EVERY ONE of you!!!

I hope we ALL have safe and pleasant travels as we make our way to Port Canaveral from many corners of the US and from the WORLD.

It has been a lot of fun posting the weekly countdowns, I hope you've enjoyed seeing them each Friday morning

And now... the moment we've all been waiting for.......

Actually I am going to be booking again onboard!! But this next cruise is in February and there's already a thread started which I've posted on a few times, but it's not a group like we have here. In fact, there are only a handful of people who've posted on it, and it's very sporadic. Maybe as it gets closer (it's already only 6 months away! lol), we'll get more people posting on it!

It will be GREAT to be rebooking while onboard the cruise, and I know some of you have mentioned booking again for August 2008, but just not sure I'll be part of that group. We'll see.. Maybe by the time our February cruise rolls around we'll know whether we can and/or want to cruise DCL in 2008 (We have a few other fairly large vacation ideas that we've been tossing around, just not sure that 2008 will be a cruise year or not).

Out of curiosity... how many of you are *considering* booking DCL again for summer 2008???

You know the Disney commercial where the little boy says "I'm too excited to sleep!"?? Well I'm too excited to go to work!!!! I just want to start packing, check our paperwork and check it again, go do some last minute shopping, and sit here and keep checking in with all of you!!!


At least I'm able to get online from work 3 times a day!

I know how you feel Bev. Fox 29 News was out front of Southwest Airlines this morning at PHL, people stating 4 hours waiting in line, and some people missing thier flights, what to do, what to do??? At least we are "close" enough to drive (18 hours) if we decide to go that route???


Terry, thanks so much for your weekly countdowns over the past 2 years. This however, is a nice job to be out of, if you ask me, LOL!!!

As of right now, we are planning to cruise again in 2008. Will also be waiting to see what DCL does special for their 10 year anniversary in 2008!!!

Yes, we plan on rebooking onboard a temporary booking and then change it when the 2008 dates come out. We have decided on 8/16/08. That way when we get back we still have an entire week before the Labor Day weekend.

We're hoping its an Eastern itinerary as we've never done that one before.

This morning my internal alarm clock went off just like a regular work day, So I got up and took the dog for a 3 mile walk.


What a way to start a vacation ,
I am waiting on a call from the team that will be renovating our bathroom while we are away.
They need to come and get the keys. Should have been yesterday but now up in the air.

1 week. wow.. can you beleive it.. TERRY you did a heck of a job... You will be hired for the next cruise as well as MARY ROSE to start the next board..

My family is on board to re-book for AUGUST 2008.. not sure where its going.. looking for an EASTERN TOUR for sure..
As ANDY said... lets see what the 10th ANNIVERSARY is going to bring.. I amnot really one to go to ALASKA though...

I am so excited for all of you that are traveling over this weekend.. WHAOO!!! You can always buy the TSA approved luggage locks and pack the cameras and laptops in the check inluggage. And today I heard that the US airport are giving WAIVER for the 3rd piece of luggage that has to get checked..

MARYROSE you wil be fine.. I think this is your first flight right?? you have all the DIVAS to keeo you company. This has to be an inconveniece to them and all their beauty supplies, right?

I am sure it will be easier once we get going.. Already the lines at our airport are going smoother the news reported..

In 1 week.. we will all be together and having a wonderful time.. I am still bringing the smoothie maker and the ETOH as planned.. but I just have to pack it in a checked in LUGGAGE instead..REMEMBER they cant stop us.. from ALL OF OUR FRREDOM

We just changed our limo reservation to an earlier time, so now we will be arriving at the airport 3.5 hours early. Hopefully by 8/18 we won't need that much time, but we figured it's better to be safe than sorry!
