Tina: I think an eyepatch would look kind of cute and rakish with that costume -- you'll look sexy and dangerous!

Where did you find the extender? Very unique idea!!!

A bunch of us who was went on Repo last year bought this on E bay. Brand new and all..
i forgot the real name of this product, however. (pockets extenders?? :confused3 )It was used for baby/child's room and came in all different colors with Disney characters.

i hang it up over the fish and tied with a plastic lock (which used for suitcases) because it can be stolen, unfortunetely! :guilty: But Jweiss was right, it was used alot for little gift exchanges, etc and even DCL staff put notes in too!! ;)

Just think!! 2 weeks from today, We are beaching on CASTAWAY CAY!!!! :woohoo: :beach:

Hello All
o.k need some advice..........I wanted to surprise everyone but I need IMPUT. :confused3 Here is a pic. of my pirate costume, and NO I will not tell you what Chuck is wearing. :rotfl2: because of recent eye problems which is a long story..........I know the only good picture I will get is on pirate night if I wear an eye patch. Will it work with this costume? I have to wear head gear because it covers part of back of costume, trust me you wouldn't believe how this thing is put together. :rotfl2: I won't be taking the jacket off or be to warm. :thumbsup2 I will also just be wearing flip flops.

Eye pirate patch will be GRAND!!! VERY NICE COSTUME!!!! :goodvibes there were lot of us on last cruise, though we dressed as a wench but had the patch on anyway!!!

i really looking forward to pirate night again!!! pirate:

I have been told by past Cat 1 cruisers that the concierge team will do just about anything for you within reason so I was thinking...maybe I could get them to arrange a group photo of the Cruisin' Castaways.

In reality, getting one of the Shutter's photographers to take our picture shouldn't be that difficult a request for the concierge team.

I think the harder part is going to try to get as many Cruisin' Castaways in the same place at the same time.

I am up for suggestions. Let's see if we can come with a time and place for this photo and then I will make the request.

My first guess would be a sea day and probably after breakfast in the late morning/early afternoon. We have to take into account nap time for the little ones, Palo Brunch, and not at night since some have early and others late dining.

This may be tough to pull off, but I would like to try.

Jeff

Sounds like a great idea. The only time that is not available for some is Monday our Palo Brunch is 10:30AM and 2PM for a LS party up on deck 9 which should take about 1-1/2 hr.

Jeff,

I like the idea of Concierge arranging a group photo on a sea day. I also think late morning/early afternoon will work. I think a lot of people are doing Palo brunches on sea days. So maybe we can work something around those times.

Jeff, we did this last year with bunch of "fools" on repo. Yes, you can make arrangements with Shuttles for a time and place.. This is what we did..we all met in Atrium and had the pic done...This pic belowwas done with my camera, but Shuttles did a much better job and had the wider lens also!! They printed on 8X10!!

Also, i believe we did this at 3 or 4 Pm on Sea Day.

Jeff: That is a GREAT idea !!! :thumbsup2 o.k let the suggestions begin...........mine is first sea day which is on Monday. I say at 9:00. That gives people time to eat and also people time to get ready afterwards for the brunch afterwards. :goodvibes The place............. :confused3 Maybe DCL could suggest ?

Melinda:Thanks for the info on the fish extenders. Probaly to late to get my hands on one now. :sad2: If anyone is willing or can make me a mickey one I will $$ for one. :goodvibes :goodvibes :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks for the feedback for the eye patch ! I didn't want to sway anyone by saying Chuck told me it didn't need it and I shouldn't get one. I really would feel better inside about getting one. :thumbsup2 I am only 5'4 so it doesn't go that high up on me. It's a little big , still working on trying to make it fit a little better. :) Tina

Moira, Just a quick question, How much would that 1.750L bottle cost in Ireland? Hopefully some day I'll be there to find out myself.:shamrock:

Thanks
Bob

Bob, with a second name of Murray and a sister in law Mary O Brien, the whole lot of you would fit right in here!!!

The Baileys here would cost about €21 for a 1.75 bottle approx though the one I am getting for Karen will be duty free so much cheaper than that!!

That looks like you had fun. Any idea how many might be in our photo?

Terry,

Just something I remember spotting along the way.. you said that you needed to print off all the cruise documents that you had completed online to bring with you.. I thought we would only need to bring our bahamas document and the one sheet that needs to be signed by both John and myself (and a signature for Caoimhe).

Am I wrong? I also have to bring I94 forms but I get them at the airport here...

Beginning to panic as I think I missed this one! and I thought I was over organised!

PEOPLE YOU ARE SO SWEET! I know if I am ever on the missing list that you guys wil send out the search for me!!

No work today.. which means it is not my usual structured day.. and there are so many things I have to buy before we go! But from tomorrow until Friday it will be back to normal!

Then Saturday we go!
Bev, your note was lovely.. I only found this board less than six months ago but already I feel I know some seriously nice people..

Lucky me I say! :goodvibes

Until later!

A fish extender is extra pockets which you can hang from the Fish by your door...See my pic here from my last cruise. You can see my yellow Pooh fish extender.

Hi Elyse,
We're in the San Francisco Bay Area - actually the east bay. Are you familiar with the bay area or more so with southern California? When we lived in Hopkinton, Mass, we were right by the Holliston line. I can't remember the name of it now, but only a mile or two from a turkey farm that's pretty popular. I can picture a great deal of Ashland though. My DH used to catch the train into Boston at the Ashland station!

Good Night all!

Kris

That's Outpost Farm and it's right down the road from my BIL's parents (they live by the golf course in Holliston. You must have moved out to CA pretty recently as the Ashland train station has only been open for a few years.

I grew up in Walnut Creek & San Rafael (that's CA for the rest of you) so I'm very familiar with the east bay (and the north bay and everywhere in between).

Elyse

Tina - that's a great picture of you. :lmao: I think the eye patch would be fine.

My DD Lindsay said that my everyday costume pirate: would be scary enough. :rotfl2:

Jeff - great idea about the group picture. Please count us in (3).

Darlene - how's Sandy and Stan doing?

Ed - how's Caitlyn's eye.

I get myself so stressed afraid of forgetting something, then I can relax on the cruise. I get really nervous everytime DD says "One week from Friday, mom".

DS Harley went to school to be a Real Estate Salesperson/broker. He passed his test, was hired by Re-Max and drove to Harrisbury PA today to wait and actually get his Real Estate license. I'm really proud of him. Now I can't get mad at him for not doing this cruise with us, since he will be working and in training.

Back to work for me. :surfweb:
