Denise: Stick with it -- you will never, ever be bored, and the "intangible" fringe benefits are amazing.

Jen: A thirty minute space between home and school is perfect. You're pretty close, have time to unwind driving home, and can usually do your shopping without an audience. I run into parents or students every now & then, but my mom, who lived 6 blocks from the school, sometimes spent 2 hours or more at the grocery store. She was everybody's favorite teacher and they all just wanted to say hello.

Hi Everyone :surfweb:

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Andy - I hope Angelina is all right. Not being a parent myself although I have one niece (Jaclyn - who is also my godchild and I haven't spoiled her too much during her 17 years) and two nephews I do worry about them.

Terry - I hope you feel better

Shirley - your pm's were great! Today it is going to be neat 100 degree! :sunny:

I am getting anxiety attacks thinking about what to bring and what suitcases to pack. I have so many clothes and shoes some still with tags still on them in my closet. Just ask Doreen My closet is 12x12 and when Daniel comes down for a visit that is where he sleeps on an aero bed. He even made a sign for the door that says Daniel's room. I still keep it on the door for sentimental reasons. Usually when I go to WDW for a week take one carry on and tote bag. I don't care to check in luggage but I know this time I will.

Stay cool!!

Me again back from my business trip. SO very happy to be home!!! Let me know if you want magnets of nautical letters for your door. I have requests from SeaSpray, PoohJen, Lainie1222, Steve's Wife, 5by5, and famof8. Let me know if I missed someone while I was gone or if anybody else wants one. I'll print some off soon and post a picture.

Hey Anna,

Glad to know that you made it home in one piece and the guys survived without you. I just realized that Curtis was playing Mr. Mom and trying to work from home with the boys home on summer vacation. So, give kudos to Curtis from me, for surviving in one piece also.

Could you do some magnets for Devin and I (first names)? I still have the magnets that Bobby did for us for the last cruise on my fridge. I'd like to add to the collection. Thanx!

Just dropping in to say Good Morning, and I do agree with Andrew, the days seem to be dragging as of late.

I wish that I had the same problem! For me it's going too fast.

By the time that I went to bed Tuesday night (at midnight) I had already put in 40 hours of work, in three days and as of last night when I went to bed, I had 57 hours in for the week. (Keep in mind that the 13 hours on Sunday counts toward last week.) Unfortunately, I have to get some work done today and I still have to hit the mall and get Devin a new suit.

Can I trade with you?

(Hey Anna, be glad that you're not on my project!)

Boy, do I need this vacation!!!!!

Dori :badpc:

Happy Sunday to all. I have the opposite problem, I feel like time is just flying by and I have so much to do. I have sent the kids and DH out for the afternoon so that I can get somethings done around here. With the current money issues we had to stop the cleaning lady. She only came every two weeks but it was just enough to help get us through. Between both of us working full time and my husbands side computer work and my active participation in two PTA's and various other school groups, the cleaning just goes farther and farther down the list.

I hope to start packing some of the princess dresses today - that will take up one suitcase on it's own.

Andy - so sorry to hear about Angelina's bad experience and I hope she is feeling better today.

Doreeen & Tina - we got the storm but not quite as bad as the city. I went to go to Walmart after the storm and there was no power so I went to Cicero and there was no power there. It took me forever to get there and back because the lights were out all over.

Off to do my cleaning. See you all soon.

Linda

Dori,

I'd be happy to do your magnets. I was just sitting here contemplating how to fill out the this page of magnet paper. That should just about do it! I have lots more paper if others want magnets!!!

Yes, Curtis was home with the boys for two weeks. I got home yesterday and already had to go to the grocery store (no milk or bread) and do laundry (none was done since the towels I did before I left were in the dryer). Boys seem happy and that's what matters. They ate lost of popcorn and watched lots of movies and stayed up way past their bedtime. I got lots of good hugs when I got home. I think they missed me.

Anna

Angelina woke up at noon and had to go to her babysitting job at one o'clock. Luckily, the lady she babysits for is just up the street from us. Angelina said this babysitting job is the best birth control there could be as far as she is concerned, she watches three little ones ages 1, 2 and 3.

Wow, ages 1, 2 and 3? That's rough!! Great quote from Angelina, Andy. :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for such kind words of encouragement as I struggle to become a certified teacher. It is a tough row to hoe, but I am getting there! :teacher:

Andy: I want to run over & give Angelina a hug! It should only take me about 7 hours right? ;)

Terry: I hope you feel better soon! I had leg cramps the other night so bad that I had to jump out of bed & my leg was sore the next day. That is unusual for me but I know how painful it can be. As soon as you mentioned making a packing list I grabbed a pen & started jotting down what I absolutely have to remember to pack. That eased a bit of my anxiety ... thanks! :thumbsup2

I am excited to be leaving in 3 weeks but I am not excited to be starting my student teaching position soon after. I can't believe how quickly this summer is flying by. :hourglass

Take Care!
Diane

Yes can you speed up time until I go to the USA and then slow it right down on the holiday and the cruise.

I think bar packing everything is planned, booked, paid for, organised, tickets all here Kids off school, and all I need is the day to turn up and push that button to say.

2006 Holiday has started.

Very cool. Statistically speaking, you would be 9999. :teeth:

Yes, would concur!

Right, 19 days left to post to reach the 10,000... We need to post 53 approx per day... is this a possibility?

Wish I had something more interesting to say, but I don't!

M.

53 a day - no problem the way that we have been posting lately. It takes me hours when I get home to get caught up. If it wasn't for being so busy at work I would have to start checking in during the day.

I took a break from cleaning to eat some lunch and now I have no energy. Maybe I should start working on my lists instead.

Linda

Andy- You are the MAN!!! :cool1: Thank you for adding Jaclyn to the Grill's night. 2 weeks and 4 days left to work, they should fly, as I am very busy at work all day. I have a big calendar on my wall with the countdown, everyone who walks by cannot believe I am going on a cruise. :Pinkbounc and w/o my husband and son.

Wow, 1,2, and 3 - to babysit for them is a great reason for birth control. I hope Angelina is feeling better today. :goodvibes
