I was walking around yesterday morning reading water meters and I could actually see my breath it was that chilly. Today is the fourth day in a row with rain and chilly temps, is this March or May? I'm not sure anymore. :confused3

Thanks for asking about Stan. I was right...he doesn't look good. I could strangle him. The test showed some fluid in the abscess and they are doing an aspiration, possible drain, on the 1st. All the times I asked him how he was feeling he never told me he had a low grade fever! Boy is he in trouble with me. Why do men think they can just ignore things and they will go away or that they can handle everything all by themselves? I'm just mad because it scares me. :worried: Darlene

Darlene: I am so sorry to hear the news about Stan. Hopefully one aspiration will do the trick. If you need anything we are always here for you.
:grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Terry: I am thinking about you today. :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Let us know how you make out.

Dave is back in the ER! same problem as 2wks ago - he's bleeding again
Had the colonoscopy done just last wk - found and removed a few polups
But now it's started again!
Just talked to him - he's had an IV put in - bloodwork taken, will wait for results and have blood taken again
He's hoping its just a hemorhoid, doc will take it out and he'll stop having problems. He's just aggravated he's there again as we all know how quick ER visits can go

:grouphug: and :wizard: to all those that need it today!!!

((((Stan))))) (((((Dave)))))

Terry.... good thoughts headed your way. Update us when you can.

Dave's been released - told to keep a soft diet for a few days
They think its a hemorhoid thats acting up

Hi everyone,

Tonight is Lindsay's senior prom princess: and she is so excited. :Pinkbounc .So am I. I never went to my senior prom so I am enjoying watching her get ready. We just got back from the beauty shop and now she has less than 1 hour :hourglass to get her make up on and get dressed before my family comes over. Then we are all going to her date's house. I'm driving her and her date downtown (center city) and then they are taking a horse and carriage to the prom. I just hope the weather holds up :sunny: and doesn't rain. :umbrella:

Terry-hope things go well for you today. :wizard: :wizard: You are in my thoughts.

Tina - hope you are feeling a little better today. :wizard: :wizard:

To everyone else not feeling well, here's some PD too :wizard:

Bev :grouphug: :rose:

That is good news... thanks for letting us know...

I never went to prom.... I cant wait to see my girls all dressed up, altough I dread paying for the dress!

Gee is it something with this Group, I never went to my senior prom either, but boy did I make up for it at the senior picnic the next day :rotfl2:,
Barb that is good news about Dave. Hope that is all it turns out to be.

Add me to the list that didn't go to the prom, but I'm going to be paying for it when my DD is able to go. Her school prom was last Friday, but since she is a freshman, she couldn't go unless she was asked by a junior or senior. Luckily for me, she doesn't hang around with any juniors or senior, LOL!!! I know what it cost me for her to go to Homecoming this past fall, I can only imagine what the prom is going to cost......... :confused3

Hey everyone.... :grouphug:

Sorry I didn't reply sooner! I got home from the appt, replied to a thread I had started over on the Community Board this morning regarding my father, and then I literally crashed into bed and slept until John got home. I was very emotionally drained. Not only due to my appt with the surgeon, but because of my father, and because my sister was in the hospital in NJ this morning having another breast cancer-related surgery and I was very worried about her too.

After dinner, John and I went out to Macy's because they're having a mattress sale and we picked up a king sized bed set! We are both really psyched about this because we're currently in a full sized bed. lol Our new bed will be delivered a week from tomorrow.

Anyway. I basically got good news, so far. He said he is not at all concerned about the calcifications because they checked my old mammograms and they look to be the same ones. This was news to me. I never knew that they had shown up before and when I see my primary care doctor next week I am going to ask for an explanation!

Then he discussed the cysts. I have 2 cysts in my right breast that have to be aspirated. He said that usually cysts are filled with a clear fluid like water, and they drain it all out and test it, just to be sure there are no cancerous cells in it. Well my cysts do not have clear fluid. They have a thicker fluid, plus what he called "debris". He said this does not mean it's cancer related, but that it's more suspicious than if the fluid was just clear. Also, they are very deep within the breast, so I have to have this procedure done in the hospital because they need to use the ultrasound to guide the needles to the right spots. I don't have an appt for this yet. Their office will make the appt with the hospital, then call and let me know when it is. The nurse told me that they're scheduling for the second week of June. Then a week after that, they want me back at the surgeon's office to get the results of the biopsy.

So basically I got some "good" news regarding the calcifications, and still no news yet about the cysts/tumors. I do feel a lot better now though, after talking to the surgeon. He's the same one who did my gall bladder surgery back in the fall of 2000, AND he's a Disney World nut too! We ended up talking about resorts, restaurants, the parks, and the new attractions!! LOL I think made me feel better too. LOL The subject of Disney came up because I told him that I need to be all better and finished with this within 40 days because of my Disney trip. lol

Darlene: I'm sorry that Stan has to go through that again :( Please tell him that I am sending my best wishes to him, and I hope that he won't have any more complications.

Barb: I'm glad that Dave's problem didn't turn out to be serious! But what a scare that must've been!

Bev: Let us know how Lindsay enjoyed the prom!! How nice, a carriage ride!!!!!! :) :)

Thanks again everyone, for the good thoughts. It really means a lot to me :grouphug:

And Barb, how do you know it's my birthday tomorrow? lol

Terry--thanks for the update, and for the funny e-mail, I nearly fell off my chair I was laughing so hard.

Also, have :bday: :cake: tomorrow!!!

Terry: Congrats on the good news :goodvibes Now about the bad news we are still here for you. :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: Take care of yourself. By the way.......... :bday: tomorrow !! :cake: :rose:
