Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 2

Im in 2005 planning mode too except for this thread of course

Now dont laugh but it took me over 2 hrs to vacuum 3 rooms! Started in mstr bedroom (its on the main floor). Had to dust while in there.
Went through kitchen and had to wash the 2 windows, front & back doors. Take the storms out and wash the screens.

Made it to the dining room area where I also washed the window but had to go outside to wash the center of the bay window. When I was back inside and doing the window on the end finally noticed the bush is coming inside the window when we open it! so back outside I go to trim the bush. Then I discovered a hugh bees nest so left DH a note to get rid of it! While still in dining room I decorated for Jonathan's birthday. Hey even though we're not having a family party Jon may still enjoy coming in the door and seeing it decorated!
Ok onto the living room area I go and had to wash those windows too besides vacuum in there.
See my car outside and feel the need to change my antenna topper!
Then to the den where I vacuumed and stopped. Found the computer - lol
So whats left for tomorrow? Windows! mstr bedroom, den, bathroom and then upstairs to that bathroom and 2 bedrooms up there.
oh ya while I was at it I started packing for our summer vacations. I had bought a few items and they were sitting here on the den floor. May as well put them in a suitcase!
To me cleaning is more like spring/summer/fall/winter cleaning. Oh well at least it does finally get done sometime.

Now Im off to take a shower and get ready to pull Jon out of school so we can head to the farm. He wants to stop at the mall and spend some of his birthday money on the way home.

We have main seating too. My oldest will be 13 in October, so I am taking him on mom/son trip to WDW for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (well, actually, I'm "letting" him come join me, my mom, my sister and my cousin on our MNSSHP party!)


HI EVERYONE!!!! Gee, looks like you've all been busy since last I posted (I guess about 217 pages ago!!!)

MY DILEMMA: I have 2 separate ressies for this cruise and I can't seem to let go of one!!! One is for set of Cat 10s - great price thru Costco when the cruise first opened for booking; second set of Cat 6s that I booked onboard in Nov. I've been floating the deposits, but now the Disney visa 0% is up on them. I just can't seem to let go of the Costcos, thinking family members might like to join us. but, as Dory said to Marlin "It's time to let go!!!"

I have been debating on still doing the romance package for this cruise. Only because you can do everything on line now. For anyone who has done it before...........Is it still worth it? DCL won't let me do it till August anyway. Maybe I will just wait and see if any changes are made. Tina

I know they say the lord doesn't give us more than we can handle, but you and Stan had really had your share of bad stuff this year. I am so sorry to hear this latest development. I am sending PD your way hopefully something good will come your way. Doesn't Stan work for the township??

Is his company laying a lot of people off or do you think this has to do with his illness? If you think it has to do with his illness you should consult someone about that.

Andy I have already added Karen to our late dining group by adding her to my reservation. We must have about 30 of us now. I have told Karen all about our little group and she and her family are travelling on the same flight over to Florida with Vicki and myself.

Some people are getting quite dressed up in pirate clothing for Pirate Night. We just wore our tropical shirts and had the pirate bandana on our head. The new Pirate Night started just a week or two before our cruise last August and we didn't know what to expect. The Pirates IN the Caribbean" deck party is quite awesome!!!

Thanks for the thoughts Lynn. The company Stan was working for hasn't been doing well and he was afraid this was coming. This was his 40-hour a week "retirement" job to make ends meet. I told him that it is probably a blessing in disguise, God knows he really needs to be resting more during this time of chemo treatment. He really was pushing himself too much. It is sad because he liked his job and we will miss the income. But we will be ok.

Are you getting ready for Matt's graduation? How did he make out on his roadtrip? Hope everything well with you all.

Cast of characters are DH Nick and myself, DS's age 11, 9 & 3 and DD 7 (time of sailing). Also coming is my Mom (Gma Jennie).

I've recently planned a trip to DL to take my mind off this cruise which I have been absolutely obsessing about.

Darlene, The Disney Doll tea party is

A morning Tea party for Adult and child, with Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. The tea party is hosted by "Rose Petal" a magical rose from Aurora's garden, who will lead sing-alongs, storytelling and a princess parade.

In addition to the tea party, princess cake and meet and great with Aurora, each guest from 3-11 will receive "My Disney Girl" collectable doll plus accessories; a tiara, Princess link bracelet, princess scrapbook page and a "Best Friend" certificate.


It is held in the garden room at the Grand Floridan,

Welcome Karen & Family and Becky & Family !! Wow this group is sure growing.

Is anyone else having a hard time getting on these boards? I have DSL and the boards seem to be running real slow.
Later this afternoon Brooke has her dance competion for ballet and tap. It will be a long day and night. The awards are at 10:30 at night. We won't get home till well after 11:00. She has another competion next weekend. This is only her 2nd year of competion and she's still a little nervous. Have a great weekend everyone !! Tina

Yes, the boards are running extremely slow this morning. I have cable service and I can't believe how long it is taking to get on, check new threads, and post to them. The boards were running slow last evening as well.
