Got some good news myself today. Our new 3 year contract at work has been settled, yea!!! We are getting a 4% raise each year for the next three years, and this year's raise is retoractive back to January 1st!!! Doing the happy dance here!!!

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Congratulations Bev! What a relief it must be do be done! I am thinking of you as I sit here and type yet another paper.

Congrats to you too Andy on what I am sure is a well deserved raise! Mike is finally getting a raise increase over the next three years also. This is great news since their contract has not yielded a raise for the last ten years. This also means more money for retirement in Florida in two years! whoopee

We haven't made any PS's for our Aug. trip yet. I am waiting to see what the park, parade, & firework hours will be first before making any decisions.

Ok back to work!

Andy - quick! pay off the cruise!

It won't be enough to pay the cruise off in full, but the retroactive check will help put a dent in the balance due!!!

Andy

Congrats on the retro rasie to Jan

Diane, What part of Aug will you be at WDW ?

We will be at Pop Century July 31st to Aug. 7th. We will actually be arriving in Florida on July 25th but we have lots of family to visit, plus we are hoping to meet with some builders & check out some model homes in the Sarasota area. If we do decide to build, we need to start getting our plans in motion for our anticipated move of July/07. :teeth:

I notice you'll be arriving at FW on Aug. 5th? We've never stayed in FW but I would love to one day. The only time we were there was for the Hoop De Doo but we took a walk around and checked out the area and we just loved it!

That's great Andy good for you !! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ed: That sounds like a great itinerary ! :Pinkbounc I hate to admit that I have never been to any of those places. Someday......... :rolleyes1 Have fun !

Ed: CONGRATS on getting the Cinderella's breakfast! That is the "mother" of all reservations at WDW  :cheer2: We went to the breakfast on our trip in 2001 and it was really nice. But since I have 2 boys who were good enough to not say a word about the fact that it was a "princess" breakfast, I don't have the heart to make them do it again. lol Besides, I didn't want to take up a reservation that could go to a family with their own little "princess" princess:

Andy: CONGRATS on the raise!!! John just got a raise at work a couple of weeks ago, it was the first decent raise the company gave out in a couple of years, plus they gave him an extra good raise due to his work performance. Also, he has his own PCB design company with a friend of his (they do this on nights and weekends), and they just got some big jobs in (they don't advertise their business, so they only get work from past clients, maybe once or twice a year), so it's very possible that I'll be able to give some good news concerning the balance of our cruise, very soon :earboy2: It was actually HIS idea to use some of that money for the cruise. I'm SO glad I didn't make the call to cancel the cruise last month! :tilt:

I think I must of gotten the first or second reservation for the day,
I have an 8:10 am time.

We are not though yet , I need to wait a couple more days.
One more really big one to go, and a few we will play by ear.

Diane, we have only been to FtW a couple of times for the Hoop De Doo revue, This will be our first time staying there. For the last couple of years we have rented an RV and gone camping up at Lake George Ny. My dd loved it so we thought this would be a great way to see WDW and combine a camp setting.

Its also part of summer theme from our DD, she will be attending a girl scout day camp for most of July.

ED... WTG on getting CRT. We have done it twice I think and enjoyed it both times. PSB in Epcot isnt bad either! LOL

Terry... We are all so happy you didnt cancel last month either ((((Hugs))))

Andy... Awesome raise and really cool it is retro!

Nothing much going on here... just waiting for my girlfriend to get here so we can watch the finalle of The Amazing Race!!!

Oh wait... I bought shoes today. Something I never do since I have short wide troll feet. But I am heading to Miami next week for a girls trip and felt I needed something nicer that Chuckie Taylors. Sooooooo I am parading around the house in heels trying to break them in!

Laura last nights show was great. I was on the edge of my seat. Now there will be nothing to watch on Tuesday nights except American Idol. :rolleyes1 Tina

Dave scheduled his colonoscopy for next Tues. I'll be bringing him in about 6am. Hoping to return home by 7am so I can get on the phone to WDW and reserve Whispering Canyon brkst for 730am Aug 15th - lol. I want a PS when they first open so we can head to Typhoon Lagoon before the crowds.
I'll take an early lunch break (long lunch) to pick him up and bring him home.

Have a good day everyone - Im hoping to see sun on Sat.

Barb--I hope all goes well for Dave.

Looks like it is going to be a wet weekend here in South Jersey, surprise, surprise.

Gotta get ready for work, hey, at least it is PAY DAY!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

this is a "what would you do" question?
I have it cleared at work to take this Fri as a sick day. Boss would rather know ahead of time when Im planning these so we can have coverage. So there is someone covering my day this Fri. Im planning on staying home and cleaning house! Something thats a little bit easier for me to do when Jon's at school & Daves at work.
Now that this thing w/Dave has come up for next Tues Im debating working Fri and taking next Tues. However what does that do to the house?! Dave doesnt help w/it whether he's sick or not.
Actually he's picking up the lawnmower (had maintenance) after work today. He doesnt do the mowing - he leaves that to me too!
Helppppppp I need time to do these things! But it may take longer for me to drive Dave to the doc and pick him up than to wait for him. If I do take Tues off I wont want to come back here and clean if he's just laying around on the couch, etc.

maybe I'll take Fri for the house and tell the boss I'll be in late Tues (skip my lunch). I do have the time in the "bank"

Laura: I read your post last night about Amazing Race and decided to check it out. I figured since it was the final episode that it might be interesting, and it was!!! I had never seen the show before, and I found myself cheering that couple on! I was so glad when they won :teeth: It was fun to see Rob and Amber, too. I just might have to watch the next season of Amazing Race. How many couples do they start out with in the beginning??

Barb: I hope your DH makes out OK with the colonoscopy. I had that done a couple of years ago and the procedure itself was not bad at all. The worst part was the day before, drinking that stuff. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever had to drink. :crazy2: :scared: :earseek:

I think that if you have the time available to take off, take off Friday so you can do what you want to do around the house, then on Tuesday just take off however much time you need to, to take DH to and from his appointment.

Andy: More bad weather in the forecast? BLECH. I just checked our weather forecast and so far Saturday looks OK, but lots of rain on Sunday.

Do you have an option to either taking 2 sick or peronal days,
or Spliting the one sick day in two.

Take afternoon off on friday and morning on tuesday.

While you wont get all the housework done on Friday, you have a start, and since it will be raining this weekend not much can be done outside.

Boss said do what I need to do regarding Tues. She really is easy going w/my time. I just need to ok myself taking it off. - now Dave doesnt know if he needs me or not - may have another way?

Jon & I are hoping for the farm on Sat. Sun is the kids birthday, going out for dinner so Sun wont matter as much if it rains.
