Andy,

Thank you. Since I used a TA, this is the first time on the Disney site I could see my reservation.

I'm still paying for this years trip to WDW, but when we get back I start paying down the cruise. waahooo :cool1:

It's truely been a couple of magical days.
First AP rates for Aug, and now the new Disney Cruise site.

The only down side is, since we are first time cruisers I will need to wait to the 75 day mark. ( Hope I can still get a palo reservation at that time.).

Jonathan & I have APs that we'll be activating on our 3rd full day at WDW in Aug. This will let us use them for 5days before the cruise next yr. When I bought them I was thinking of trying to get an AP discount this summer.
Right now we have part of our vacation booked w/points through member services and the middle wknd booked w/cash discount through member services. If we book through Disney w/AP discount there is less chance we can stay in the same room for the wknd before we change to BCV.

Tina: I am really looking forward to making some of our cruise reservations online :) But I think that if any of us want to do an excursion together, we'd have to call up and give all of the names to one person, so they could make sure we all got on the same one. Last time, we booked the REAS package so that we could make the spa and Palo reservations in advance. Since we can now do that on our own, I'm not sure if I'll do the REAS package or not. We didn't drink the champagne until the last night of the cruise (and this was a 10 night cruise. lol) and I brought it to dinner on that last night just to drink it and get rid of it because I didn't want to take it home. In fact, I could've done without the entire "welcome basket", there was nothing of any particular use to me, in it. It was a nice touch, but not anything I'd pay for. The other great perk was being able to request a dining rotation in advance.

Since so many of us want to link our dining tables together, I wonder how that will work. Whoever us wants to link, we'll have to agree on a rotation. :teeth:

Diane: I wish I was going to be in WDW with the rest of them too, in August, but we chose early July because we originally planned the trip for our anniversary, and it's on July 8th :lovestruc I was only able to get the AAA discount for the Wilderness Lodge part of our trip because there were no AAA discounts available for the Polynesian, so we're paying rack rate for the Polynesian lagoon concierge :earseek: LOL I had to laugh when you said that you plan your cruise around the food because we do the same thing, even with Disney World. lol For our trip in July I FIRST decided where we were going to stay, THEN I chose the restaurants, and then fitted the parks in around our meals :earboy2: DH doesn't like counter service, and since it'll be very hot and crowded, and he's diabetic, I chose all sit-down restaurants so that we'll be guaranteed a table in air conditioning, where we can sit and relax. I also plan on heading back to the resort after lunch for a swim and/or nap, each day.

Hi lyn :wave2: Wow, that is excellent air fare! I already bought our airfare for the July trip, it cost $220 per person, on Song, but then the prices briefly went down a month ago so I got the vouchers for the difference. They had me on hold for so long that night because they screwed up something with Craig's ticket, they ended up sending me his price difference in the form of a check AND they sent me a HUGE gift basket for my trouble of being on the phone with them for so long. lol It was a huge wicker basket filled with 2 porcelain coffee cups, bags of flavored coffees, a couple of bags of gourmet cookies, and some coffee-flavored smoothie mix packets. lol I was quite surprised when it arrived, to say the least. lol

Andy: I'm glad you got a good deal on your airfare!!!! :)

I was able to get our flights for 158.00 round trip on Southwest.

What an afternoon I just had. A fellow co-worker and I were off the side of the road when another car pulled up with a young man inside. He saw my work car (an old police car) and stopped to tell us that he saw a woman sitting behind the CVS store, next to a trash dumpster, holding a knife and covered with blood. My co-worker and I went to check it out, it appeard as though she had just tried to commit suicide. We called the police and they were there within minutes, as were the EMT's. The woman was alive, but not answering any questions. My co-worker and I left after the police and EMT's arrived. My fingers are still shaking as I type this.

I got an e-mail from Southwest today and signed up to become a DING member, that's where I got the price for our August 2005 flights. Here is a link to the DING membership:http://www.southwest.com/ding/

BTW, I've calmed down quite a bit since returning home from work today!!!

OMG Andy! Thank God the 3 of you were there!

That's what I was thinking all afternoon!!!

Thanks for the link Andy. Sounds great that we can book on-line. Too bad I have to wait until 75 days.
I finally read through most of this thread. (Well up to page 100 then every 5 pages or so)
I neglected to give names so that we may be added to the list.
Bob
Anita
Roseanne -age 8 1/2 at cruise time. (rather shy but loves to play with other girls) I hope that she makes some friends)
We have early seating.
Deck 6 rm 6082. Any neighbours???
Anita

 Welcome Bob, Anita and Roseanne

We will be in 6582, not exactly "next door" but howdy neighbor!
No children this time, just Mom and Dad. Do have 2 DS's 11(in 22 days) and 13.

Again, welcome! :flower:

Welcome Anita & family!

Andy: I'm glad you've calmed down after what must've been a harrowing experience! Thank goodness you were there for that poor woman!

Terry: Sorry you won't be there for the mini-meet in Aug. either but celebrating an anniversary is such a special occasion & I hope you have a wonderful time! Just like you I have also already planned where we will eat dinner most nights. Portabello Yacht Club, Flying Fish, Garden Grill (use to hate it but saw the new menu), 1900 Park Faire, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Sci-fi, so far. That's why I thought the Dining Plan would be a good idea for us since we do at least one sit-down meal a day, but we almost never order an appetizer & dessert too and other times we might just grab a quick snack somewhere & Portabello (our all time fav!) is not included so not sure if the plan is worth it for us.

Hi Anita and family, Welcome aboard again,
We are on deck 6 too. Cabin 6088, just up or down the hall. LOL

My DD Caitlin will be 9 at the time of the cruise,
I bet Roseanne and Caitlin will become fast friends.

We too have the early seating

Ed, Beth and Caitlin

Andy: I can understand why you were still shaking afterwards! I'm glad you were there to get help for that girl. There's been so many threads about suicide lately, over on the Community Board. One person said her DH tried to kill himself last night, another person said an 11 year old DID kill themself last week, etc. So very, very sad :(

On a happier note: WELCOME ANITA AND FAMILY!! We're in Cabin #6042, just down the hall from you a bit. This is going to be a great cruise! :boat: :sunny:

We are booked in 7120 another slant wall room. We really wanted 6134 (we had that room on our first DCL Cruise 7 years ago!), but it was already booked.
