Thanks Andy. You are the sweetest guy around.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are we trying for a group color (white, Dis green)?
Andy - Thanks very much! You're very kind! I am going to send you a PM but I think, since I'm both artistically and domestically challenged (read: I can't iron), that if you wouldn't making the shirts for me. But I couldn't send you $10 per shirt. I would think it would only be right to send you at least the $15 per shirt I'd pay on Cafe Press. What'yd think? If that's okay with you let me know and I'll PM you. Thanks!
Also gang, now I'm thinking maybe I should order some magnets and some buttons. After all, we can't wear the same t-shirt for a week, well my 13-year-old son can, but that's another story!
Terry - thanks for the response, I was thinking maybe 30 magnets and 20 buttons. I'm figuring probably only the women might wear a button.
I going to post the question separately so everyone can see it.
Any takers for a door magnet or button from Andy's great design on Cafe Press (on me of course). Please post here over the next few days so I can get a pretty good count. Thanks!
Thanks!
Mary Rose
No, $10.00 will be enough to cover my expenses, even with mailing the shirts to you. I'm not in this to make money, just to provide a happy service to my friends.
At home here, Hazel has her iron, and I have my iron, and never the two shall meet, LOL!!! :lmao:
What I would also need to know, this could be sent by a PM or e-mail, is the name(s) you would want (if any) for the front of the shirt. I can make the name tag design, without adding the name if you like, just takes a little tweaking, but really no problem at all.
Andy, you are an amazing man... just ask the question and all of a sudden you have it up and running! :yay: I really hope that we get a chance to meet you on the Saturday of the cruise.. will send you on the details of what we are looking for, have your address so will send on the dollars too...
Thanks so much for organising it... I love the design! :teeth:
Moira :sunny:
PS Jeff, meant to say many times that your family photos are absolutely lovely! :goodvibes
Thanks Andy - You're the best! But you must accept a little something for your time and effort (what about the price of the gas to BJs LOL!) I'll email you instead of PM. Thanks again!
Since I "won't" :guilty: be eating lunch on ship at Parrot Cay that Saturday, my mom and I might go to Grills or Zachary's for breakfast Saturday morning, then might go back to the Radisson to wish those leaving on the early shuttles a Bon Voyage. After that we'll probably go visit Shirley and Norm for a little bit, then hang around the area (maybe Jetty Park) until the Magic sails so I can get some pics for y'all.
I'm inside taking a break from yard work... have to take advantage of the sun since it's supposed to rain AGAIN this week...
Anyway, thanks Andy, for taking this on for all of us!! :grouphug: So you'd be willing to apply the iron-ons if we send you the shirts?? I'm not good with an iron, I send all of DH's business/dress shirts off to the cleaners. lol
Andy, did you see my post on the NJ brunch meet on July 2nd? Any chance you can make it? If so, we can give you the shirts then. If you can't make it, I'll mail them down to you. Oh, and if you can make it, brunch is on ME! :teeth:
Mary Rose: I'd love a magnet and pin!! :goodvibes
I'm not sure about July 2nd at the moment. I do have a four day weekend as I took Monday July 3rd off. Our plans are still up in the air for that L-O-N-G weekend, LOL!!! I'll have to see and let you know about July 2nd.
How is the breakfast buffet at the Radisson? My reservations include it in the price, and if it's at least decent, we'll probably just have breakfast there. Last time we had breakfast at Zachary's, and it was pretty good.
I called the other day and got our names put down for the 10:30am shuttle! :goodvibes I was going to ask for the 10am shuttle, but I know we can't get on the ship until around noon time anyway, so why rush that extra half hour. I'd be happy with taking the 11am shuttle, but John said he'd rather get to the port earlier, than later. I like the way they hand out the boarding tickets now, instead of having to stand in a line all that time.
Ok Andy, no problem! :)
I just got home from picking Hazel up from her weekend campout with the girls from church, she is one tired puppy, LOL!!!
I've never done the breakfast at the Radisson myself, so I can't comment about that.
I forgot to mention earlier, I can get white Hanes 50/50 t-shirts at our local AC Moore store ranging in sizes from Childrens small through and including Adult XXXL, since I have a friend that works at AC Moore, I also get a 20% discount on anything I purchase.
I am proceeding the same as you. I checked the DCL website and they said you don't need one if traveling before December, 2006.
The Dorny's would love a magnet....
I haven't been around for too long so you may have already talked about this, but are folks decorating their doors? If so, how?
10 weeks from now we will be just getting done with day one at CC.... :sunny:
Our family decided to go ahead and get them since it will be much easier than carrying around picture id's and birth certificates for all six of our kids! I don't want to risk loosing them either.....the certs, not the kids.....although..hmmmmmm :rotfl:
I bought a package (I believe its 4 sheets) of "magnetic paper", so I plan on putting together a design that would fill that, and then print it out. That's probably the extent of my door decorating. Maybe I'll get some curling ribbon to hang, too. When I've made my design, I can post it here and if you like I can make one for you, with changes to the names, of course. lol Oh, I forgot to ask you the other day, are you on early or late dining? We have late dining and have our reservations linked with a few other DIS families, so feel free to join. If you're on early, I believe a few DIS families are linked, as well. :)
Andy: Thanks for the offer of picking up the Hanes t-shirts. It would probably be easier to just send you a check for the entire amount (shirts + printing costs). I don't think the boys will want a shirt, so I'll be ordering only for John and I.
P.S. I just had an idea... Maybe I could create a design for door magnets, they'd be the whole-sheet size, and that would be our contribution to the group! I could personalize each one, of course. Let me know who'd be interested in that!!!
Andy, I've borrowed this picture of your door, to show what the whole-page door magnets look like! :3dglasses
This is an idea of what the magnets I could make would look like. I'd create a new image and add new text. I could also personalize them for each cabin/family. Let me know who'd be interested!
P.S. Andy, how did you make those lime green Mickey heads? Bobby made them for all of us on our Lost at Sea cruise, but I'm not sure how he cut the shapes.
Andy,
I, too, am ironing-challenged. I'd be willing to send you the t-shirts. Let us know how much per shirt for the cost. I'd be sending four shirts.
Thanks again for creating the design.
Our last cruise in Nov 2005 we stayed at the Radisson and did exactly what you are doing. We had the buffet breakfast and then took the 10:30 AM shuttle which worked out very well. You can do "a la carte", but the buffet was a better choice for us, my family likes variety.
We are driving to Daytona a couple days before the cruise. My MIL sister who is coming on the cruise has a condo so we will stop there on Thursday (17th) and drive straight down in the morning (19th).
Breakfast at the Rad sounds fun, but we will have breakfast in Daytona and see you on the ship. We are going to WDW for 3 days after the cruise.
This is so funny! Andy is right, I just asked him about the t-shirt design yesterday & he emailed me the link. I haven't been on all day & now the talk is all about t-shirts!!!
Andy: I will email you about purchasing some t-shirts from you. Maybe you should consider starting your own business since you are so good at this stuff!
Mary Rose: I would love a magnet & pin. I was actually going to buy some myself but if you are buying a bulk order, I will give you the money instead.
Terry: I was going to attempt a big door magnet & some green Mickey heads too. I thought about getting the Mickey heads at home depot, cutting them out & sticking magnets on them?
Diane
