Hello Everyone!

Can anyone give me information regarding passports? I have been getting mixed information. I know the regulations have changed. Someone said that you don't need one if you are traveling before December, 2006. Can anyone give me information regarding this? :)

Hi! :)

Here's the info directly from the government's web site:

New Requirements for Travelers

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States. In order to facilitate the implementation of this requirement, the Administration is proposing to complete it in phases following a proposed timeline, which will be published in the Federal Register in the near future.

In the proposed implementation plan, which is subject to a period of initial public comment, the Initiative will be rolled out in phases, providing as much advance notice as possible to the affected public to enable them to meet the terms of the new guidelines. The proposed timeline will be as follows:

December 31, 2006 - Requirement applied to all air and sea travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
December 31, 2007 - Requirement extended to all land border crossings as well as air and sea travel.
This is a change from prior travel requirements and will affect all United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports. This new requirement will also affect certain foreign nationals who currently are not required to present a passport to travel to the United States. Most Canadian citizens, citizens of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, and to a lesser degree, Mexican citizens will be affected by the implementation of this requirement.

Here's the link to that page: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html

You won't need passports for our cruise this year. My family has them because we prefer to travel with them, even though not required. And now that they WILL be required next year, I'm glad we have them already.

Andy - I forgot to add - We're down for dinner at Grill's. We hope to be arriving at the Rad around 3pm. Unfortunately I missed the $44 Ding and we'll still be driving down.

Ed - Thanks for posting the pic. I love that shirt!

Princess Rella - I have been told that we don't need passports for our cruise and that's how I'm proceeding. If you find out anything further will you kindly post it here. If I need to get passports I don't have much time. Thanks

Those were great, but I thought the one you put together for the mini meet at trails end last Aug was Great

If we put this on the front of a Shirt - WOW

But I know cafepress wont touch it due to possible copywrite issues I bet

Ed, I totally agree. I really like the design on the above t-shirt. Andy, is there any way we can coerce you into making some for us? :teeth: I'd be happy to send you the sizes and money in advance. Or, maybe we can each send you t-shirts that we buy ourselves, and then you can just add the iron-on? OR... maybe you can send us the iron-on image and we can all make our own? I don't know... lol :confused3 :lmao:

Hi Terry! We must have been posting at the same time! Thanks for the info about the passports I appreciate it. And about the TShirts. I wonder if Zazzle would let us use Andy's Great design? I ordered shirts from them and they did a phenomenal job and I think everyone could make their own individually which might be easier like you said earlier. I just uploaded a picture of the Magic at Castaway Cay which is saved there at Zazzle and under it I added Taryn's Sweet 16 Cruise and the date and then on the back I put info about the Cruising Castaways 2006 and the Lost At Sea 2004 and it turned out great. So maybe they have less copywrite issues.

Ed/Andy,

Loving that t-shirt!! :thumbsup2 What are the alternatives to cafepress?? I like the cafepress one but think Andy's is super! :bounce:

Mel, can't believe you are heading off to WDW in 9 days.. have a ball!

Terry, lime green is the DIS colour? How about Leprechaun green (not far off it!), plenty of that type of stuff here! :rotfl2:

This is correct, it was the front of a postcard that I scanned, that I was using for personal use.

I was able to put the front of the ship on the cafepress items because it was a personal photo that I had taken of the Magic when we were docked in St. Maarten during our first cruise.

I don't have a problem making them for those who are interested as I still have plenty of time to print off the designs and get them on to the shirts. All I need is sizes and names if you want the front personalized like I did for the meet last August. The front, has a smaller version of the design, that is on the back of the shirt, with the person's name added.

Great Shirt Andy - What talent! Thanks for offering to make shirts but wouldn't be too much to ask? Is there some way we could make our own? thanks for sharing. Now I think my shirt look crappy. LOL!

Okay, I gonna order Andy's tote bag from Cafe Press and I want to order some magnets. I think 100 might be a little too many so I want to order a good amount and this will be our contribution (especially to us less talented, unable to make door magnet types)

So the question is how many do you think I should order? Please help me decide.

Thanks everyone I'm going to the cruise list to see if I can figure out whose participating and still coming.

Thanks,
Mary Rose

Hi Mary Rose,

I could also print off the design and mail the iron-ons out. I wouldn't send the design via e-mail because I've done that in the past and the picture quality gets all distorted doing it that way and it doesn't look nice at all.

I would suggest if you want to do it this way, either buy 50/50 cotton/poly t-shirts or if you do buy 100% cotton t-shirts that you run them through the washer(rinse cycle) and dryer before adding the transfer to the shirt.

I've been playing around on Zazzle.. Mary Rose, I don't see where you found the picture of the Magic that's already on the web site...? I did download a picture of the Magic's stack to try and practice with shirt designs, but I'm stuck because I've typed out text, but I can't figure out how to get it placed on the shirt, in the spot I want it to be. LOL I wrote a cute little rhyme about being "Lost at Sea" in 2004... and I want to add this text to a shirt! LOL I guess it's time to get John (my DH) involved... lol

Andy, thanks for the offer to do the shirts!! Are you sure that's not asking too much?!?!?!

Hi Terry!

I copied a pic to my computer and uploaded it to Zazzle. I found the pic on the internet. I don't know how to post it here though. I gonna try and figure it out. How many Magnets do you think Terry?

Andy - Thanks for the offer. Would it be two iron ons per shirt. One for the front and one for the back? I would need six shirts worth of iron ons. Could you let me know how much and again is that too much too ask also?

Thanks,
Mary Rose

Andy, if it's not too much trouble, then I would LOVE to get six iron ons for DH,DD and me! Let me know cost and postage and I will send it on immediately! If this is too much trouble just say but I am not an artist type and bow to your expertise :artist:
Don't know anything about Cafepress Andy, is this your design that they are using? Mary Rose, if you want to order the 100, I will buy some of them from you.. no problem! PS Well done on the weight loss, you are putting me to shame! Only down 4lbs so far.... :Pinkbounc

Hi Mary Rose:

You know, I have no idea how many magnets you might want to get! LOL I've been trying to determine how many of (whatever I end up getting) I'll need, too. lol :scratchin I'm not going to go by the list on Page 1 because I think maybe some of those people aren't on this cruise anymore, AND/OR they've decided to not participate on this thread, so therefore they wouldn't be at the meets anyway. :confused3 Maybe we should ask those who are definitely planning on being at the meets to post, so we could get a count....???

Regarding Zazzle, that's what I did in the end, I used a picture of the Magic's stack that I took myself. I still haven't bothered with the text yet though. lol We have to go out and do some yard work before we get more rain. It's been raining here almost non-stop for 2 weeks now!

I have to agree with everybody, that is a really nice shirt. Great work!!

Let me know, I would be interested.

hey yeah, i haven't posted on this, nothing has been up got in a car accident, so i got a little hurt but that was minor, well 9 and 1/2 more weeks about. :cool1: :cheer2:  :cool1:

Hello - We are scheduled to do our 2nd disney cruise on Saturday 6/17/06 and was wondering if the jet ski eco tour is worth doing? Anyone out there ever tried this?

The transfer for the back of the shirt would take one whole 8.5" X 11" sheet of transfer paper. The name tag design for the front of the shirt, I can get four on one sheet of transfer paper. For the transfer paper, ink, and mailing, it would probably be safe to say $5.00 should cover my expense. To make the shirts, it would cost about $5.00 more and this would also include shipping them.

For those who just want the transfers, the transfer paper I use can only be used on "light" colored clothing, such as white or pastels. Of you try putting it on "dark" color clothing, the designs will not show up.

I'll need to make a trip to BJ's and pick up some transfers, then I can start printing these for you.

Moira, The Cafepress design was also one that I made and posted on that site.

What I would also need to know, this could be sent by a PM or e-mail, is the name(s) you would want (if any) for the front of the shirt. I can make the name tag design, without adding the name if you like, just takes a little tweaking, but really no problem at all.

Since these are not mass produced, you can also put the large design on both the front and back if you like, it's all up to you and your taste. Just let me know what you wanted printed off, and I can go from there.
