Doreen: I just saw your post today. I hope everything went ok with Jaclyn's surgery :wizard: Hopefully she'll be back to her old self in no time.

Terry: Congratulations to Craig :cheer2: The years slip by too quickly and they are all grown up before we know it. It was really hard for me when both the boys gratuated I cried through both cermonies.

On another note I just wanted to let everyone know that Bob's mother passed away on Wednesday night. As some of you know she has been very sick for a long time. Now I know she is in a much better place. It was very hard for Bob and was a very long day for him as we got a call at 3:45 AM and we stayed at the hospital until she passed at 9:05 PM. Please keep him in your prayers for Tuesday's funeral.

Moria: :wave2: across the way. So how many times have you seen that Disney DVD yet? :happytv:  Everytime we know we are going on a cruise we tend to watch it at least 4 to 6 times. :rotfl2:

Yes my freind, you've guessed it! :lmao: About 4 so far, and we have all my relations driven mad! And I am sending it to my friend in Tipperary, want her to go again with us! :sunny: :teeth:

On the second page - what happened to the chatty group that has been around for the last few days.

I am having a hard time also, everytime I think about how I can't wait for the cruise I have to remind myself that I am also wishing away our very short summer that we have here in Central New York. :hourglass

This board has had it's share of death and sickness lately. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug: and prayers for all who need it now!!!

Tina - when are you coming to visit us?

Hope everyone has a good weekend, I have a wedding shower and then "Brew at the Zoo" (You get to sample beer, wine, & food and see the animals - adults only). :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 We scheduled a designated driver just in case.

Two extra kids sleeping over - I guess it is time to get them all to bed

Hi Everyone!!!!

Welcome to our new families!

Doreen - I haven't been around for few days and missed your post. How is Jacklyn??? Please post and let us know. You're all in my prayers.

Terry - Congrats and the Craig's Graduation!! How exciting and bittersweet all at the same time! Please send him our congratulations!

Lyn - I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's Mother. Please send him our condolences. And even though she's been sick and is in a better place, I know how sad he is right now. Sorry.

I got a tear in my eye reading about the Make A Wish family! Can anyone point me to the thread or do you know how old the boy is? Thanks!

Okay so we have 11 weeks left WOOOOHOOOOO! Well I've lost 14 pounds and now only have 87 to go in 11 weeks! That's only 7.9 pounds per week LOL! Anyway, I switched from Atkins to Nutrisystem. I started Nutrisystem on Tues after the big weekend and I've and I lost 3 pounds in 4 days. So far so good. Of course I have to eat their food which isn't too bad at all really.

Have a great weekend all!
Mary Rose

Luckly another day and a half to go, before 3am Monday
We might have a decesion by then, but I'm not holding my breath at this point

:rotfl2:

It's raining cats :cat: and dogs :dogdance: here today!! :umbrella: Craig has several graduation parties to go to, it's a shame because they'll all have to be indoors now! Last night was our town's graduation. It's usually held in the beautiful park we have here, but it had to be in the gym instead. Robby has to go to the graduations every year because he's in the concert band and they perform at the graduations.

Thanks for the "congratulations" for Craig, everyone! :sunny: It was definitely bittersweet; watching him grow up has been wonderful but I still miss my little boy sometimes! Next week he has to go for college orientation, and so opens a whole new chapter in his life... :teacher:

Anyway....

Lyn: I'm so sorry about Bob's mother. Please extend our condolences to your entire family. :grouphug:

Doreen: How is Jaclyn? I hope everything went well.

5by5: Welcome aboard! :welcome:

Ed: Which excursions are you considering?? :)

We have a Make A Wish child on our cruise? I did not see this thread anywhere! Can someone please post a link? I'd love to help in any way that I can, to help this family have the best possible time on this cruise! :grouphug:

Mary Rose: I'm sad to say that the big diet I started right after our 2004 cruise has never materialized. :rolleyes1 LOL Congrats on your success though!!!! :woohoo: :thumbsup2

zackandalexmom: How was the sleepover last night?? Did any of the kids get much sleep? :teeth: Now that Craig is older, it's only Robby that ever has friends sleep over anymore. *sigh* I really am missing their younger years....

Everyone with younger kids, please enjoy the time as much as you can, it ends up flying by far, far too quickly.... Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful to see your kids grow up and see their personalities really develop, and I'm so pleased with the young men that my sons have become, but I really loved it when they were younger kids, we had so much fun.... Ok enough rambling from me. I'm just feeling nostalgic lately. :upsidedow :tilt:

Terry, Thanks for your lovely note above, :sunny: it's good to have a reminder everyone now and then to enjoy the younger years! I know you must be both proud and sad to see your eldest growing up! Sorry to hear that the weather is so bad there today, at last our summer is here! It is approx 24 degrees celcius so we are all happy (if not a little shade of red!)This country would be perfect if we could tie a rope and pull it towards the warmer weather. Normally we have cat and dog syndrome here!

5by5 - Welcome! :thumbsup2 Are you a big or small group??

Mary Rose - fantastic success! :cheer2: Atkins was a v popular here for a while... I'm on Weightwatchers and have a goal of 14lbs prior to the cruise (need to lose another 14 after that!).. so far I'm 2.5lbs down in two weeks .. a bit slow but getting there! At least it's not going up!

Robin Marie, I am practically pacing the floors waiting for our window to open! I like to have everything booked...

Moira.

Doreen, hope all is well.. thinking of you and your family today....

Moira - That's great success your having with WW! WW is definitely the best out there. I not only lost a ton of weight with them, I also worked there for a while. For the long haul I'll definitely go back to WW, it's just that I'm trying to get a quick hit before the cruise and even that's not so much for appearance sake, but because at the weight I'm at now I can't tolerate the heat well!! Good Luck with your goal!

Doreen or Karen - Please post about Jacklyn!

Terry - now you're bringing a tear to my eye! I must say I relate much better to my kids now that they're teenagers (can you believe I just said that!) but anyway, I do missing the little munchkins they were! Is Craig going away to College?

It's raining, It's pouring, here in New Jersey!

-Mary Rose

Hey everyone- I was told to repost here for some great ideas so please give em :thumbsup2
we finally decided that it will be possible for us to go on this amazing cruise. First off, we have been on the disney wonder one time before this and loved it. However, we have no clue on what excursions to do on this cruise. Any advice on what two young mature woman in there mid twenties should do on costa maya and cozumel? Also, we loved swimming with the dolphins in the bahammas and getting a cabana massage on castaway cay. We also loved playing bingo, eating at PALO, and lounging around the ship. So, how is the dolphin excursion on this cruise in mexico? How about the horse back ridiing excursion in cozumel? or the alantis submarine excursion? Any advice on how we can have a great cruise would be appreciated. I always rely on my disboard friends for the best advice. Also, is their certain excursion companies for certain activites that we can book on our own?

THanks

Terry, I see you are sneaking up on post #10,000!!! :thumbsup2

BTW, a BIG congrats on Craig's :teacher: HS Graduation!!! It's hard to believe Angelina will be there in just :hourglass two short years, oh my!!!

Nothing like waiting until almost the last minute but I finally made my final payment today on our cruise. The last day to pay is Monday. I am so looking forward to it. Only 11 weeks. YEA!!!!

Well, the past two nights we have had some severe thunder/lightening storms. It's getting real cloudy out and I'm hoping to get a decent night's sleep tonight, if it doesn't rain. I've always been afraid of thunder and lightening and it was so loud and so often, I couldn't get to sleep.

Today, DD Lindsay and I went shopping for MP3 players. :drive: We went to three malls (between the raindrops) but finally ended up buying them. Now I have to have Lindsay show me how it works and how to download music.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Bev

Bev, we're up here in Bucks County, and I too am hoping for a good night's sleep! I actually love thunder storms, but my dog does not. Thursday night I woke up around midnight with her sitting right on top of me, panting and shaking. Luckily she's only 14 pounds. My DH had pity on me and took her downstairs, but then we went through it last night, too. Poor dog, we used to drug her, but that never really worked either.

Terry, congrats to your son on his graduation, and to you and your DH as well. :mickeyjum Is he going away to college, or staying near to home?

And, to all the other dieters out there, I'm with you! Thank goodness for Low Fat microwave popcorn popcorn:: and Rum and Diet Coke :drinking1 .

Andy: Yikes, I didn't realize I was so close to 10,000 posts!! :teacher: :surfweb: I'll have to be sure that my 10,000th post is here on this thread! :goodvibes

Thanks for the continued good wishes for Craig. :teeth: He'll be going to Bridgewater State College. :teacher: It's a 4-year Massachusetts state college that is a very short drive from our town, so he'll be commuting. :car: He didn't want to go away to school, and we did not try to encourage him to. He has taken some summer programs at the college and he really liked the school, and has wanted to go there since he was in elementary school. He'll be keeping the same job that he's had for the last year and a half, the store he works for is very good about working around the class schedules of the college kids.

DonaldsGrl103: Welcome Aboard! :welcome: Here's a link to a web page that I've put together that lists each day of the cruise, and which excursions some of us are going on. It might give you an idea of what excursions everyone is doing: http://www.brownfamilyvacations.com/html/CruisingCastaways.htm

Bev and Aurora'sMommy: It's STILL monsooning here! We've had some passing thunder and lightning but nothing too bad. Bev, I am not a big fan of lightning either! :scared: But as long as I'm not out in it, I'm usually ok. lol I hope you both can get a good night's sleep tonight! :cloud9:

Bev: What kind of MP3 player did you get? Last winter John bought us each an iPod Video, and I've used it only once. lol It's a great little "toy" but I just don't have much use for it, although it was great to be able to watch a movie while sitting in the airport a couple of weeks ago! :3dglasses

Other dieters: Ok, I'm starting to feel motivated again! LOL I figure, once all of the cake from Craig's graduation party is gone, then I'll give it some serious consideration. :teeth: But then again, in a few weeks, we'll be having his big party down in NJ! lol I like the sound of microwaved popcorn and Rum and diet soda! LOL Since I don't like cola, I've tried Rum and rootbeer, and its delicious, it tastes like a rootbeer float! :drinking1

Hi Terry,

I am thinking of the Atlantis submarine expedition in Cozumel, and
Some floats and bikes on CC,

Also may try the parasailing on CC

Thinking about a Palo Dinner too.

Oh, count me in on the diet, since last Aug I've lost 65lbs so far :)
