Called & said no pin BUT

after looking up all of our names she said no pin. The she asked how many times we'd been to Disney, last time, etc. Looked up our account history rattled off a bunch of our trips, said hold on let me see what I can do. Came back like 3 min. later & woohoo free dining!!!! Was able to extend our trip an extra day & saved money!!!!!!!!!!!! 'cause banana's need to dance in 3's.

We are DVC owners, so we don't get to enjoy the pins, but sure love to hear people get excited when they get bonus to make their trips more magical!

So did they find a pin buried somewhere in your account/household or did they give you free dining based on your many trips?

I called yesterday and got "is that why your calling?" when asking about a pin... she also asked when was the last time you visited "which hasnt been since 2000." I have room already booked w/ tickets and wondering if I should take off the tickets and make it a room only to eventually get the pin to pop up on our account. I've called twice, once yesterday and about two weeks ago just asking about a pin since I would love to upgrade to a villa or deluxe.

In my case switching from a pkg. with tickets to a room only did nothing on the pin front. I did that last week not in order to get a pin but because I found out dh's company has discounted tickets and we can save about $75 on our tickets.

It can't hurt to try but its not sure thing. Its also a lot of hassle since you'll have to come up with a whole new deposit, they cannot transfer your pkg. deposit to a room only.

I have called about eight times, still nothing after I called this morning. Hoping for something April 16th-21st.

When I called last night our CM was fantastic , first of we do have a pin QS but that ends on 8/13 and we are going 8/15 and to change all of our plans is expensive , so the pin does not work for us yet . But I asked if I could have the pin number and she asked me ,"do you want yours or the general public one" , so if I am to understand her correctly there must be a general public code for the free dining. Just like everyone has posted I guess it depends on which CM you get.

There is no general fd code. Nor can there be again this year. If there was, it would be listed under special offers. I was told that a ton of these pins would be released though. The pin was probably attached to someone else in OP's household.

Maybe it is not a "General Public " code , but the CM asked if I wanted the public code . Maybe I misunderstood what she said .

There is no one else in my household & as of yet I have not gotten an email or snail mail but BUT we usually end up getting all the pins at some point in the promotion.

We finally got a snail mail pin in DH's name today so we did have one it just took her a few minutes to find it.

But I think this will be another one of those great mysteries of life as no one knows how the elusive PINs work!
