Called for check in, but app keeps asking

I called in to DVC to request a room near the lobby at Jambo.
Now I forgot if that also constituted a "check in."
MDE kept asking me to check in. I did, but did not do a room request, so as to not over-ride the call in request.
Was there any need for me to check in via the app? It did ask for mobile number, etc., so I would think it would be necessary.

Thanks. You would think after 12 years of membership I would remember this stuff, but I guess not.

You can check in via the MDE app - just skip the section for requests. As above, your call did not constitute checking in - more information is required (CC number, PINs, etc.). If you don't check in via the app, you'll have to visit the front desk on arrival and provide all that information, and you won't receive your room number until you do so.

There have been so many changes over that 12 years that I'm amazed any of us remembers.

We've been members for 20 years (took the tour 20 years ago today) and we're STILL learning things. I think that you have to do on-line check-in in order to get a room-ready text and to go straight to your room.
