Called DVC to request conceirge room view and

Hi, This is the first time I have used our points to book a conceirge room for my daughter and I in January. I requested a waterview room and was told I couldn't make a request. I was taken aback as DVCers pay premium points for these rooms and I am very surprised that you do not get that privilege. I know you can request it at DVC resorts so why not at YC? Maybe someone else has made this kind of reservation before and can help with what's what? Thank you, Lynn

Hmmm... I just booked a few nights at AKL concierge for next April, and I was told I COULD (and I did) make requests for a savannah view... It was noted on my written reservation.

Hi Eggleboo,
No worries! If you are planning to stay at the Yacht Club it is absolutely wonderful and the only concierge category booked on points is "water view". Even better than that - they are Lagoon view, not pool view. We had a wonderful stay there over Labor Day and didn't regret using points there for even one second! Our room was looking right over the lighthouse and the lights at night were gorgeous. You are right - it is a premium in points - that's because the lagoon view is premium! Have a great time!

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you. This trip is very very special as this is my first mother/adult daughter trip with my youngest and we almost lost her a few years ago. I just want everything to be the best!! She deserves it!! : )

We just stayed at YC Concierge on pts and paid for a lagoon view. We didn't have to request anything as that is the category we booked.

You can also clarify this with the YC Itinerary Planning staff when they call you to start helping with your trip.

We had a lovely room-5229-great view of the lagoon, Boardwalk, SAB and some of Illuminations.

It was a bit of a hike to the lounge and elevators but we appreciated the lack of noise that came with this.

We just used points for AKL concierge, And were able to request a savannah view, vs pool view.

We are planning to use points to book GF conceirge, Has anyone done this lateky and know what type room you will get? Main bldg or Sugar Loaf? Any thing else I might need/want to know?

The only concierge category you can book is lagoon view. Don't worry. We booked YC Concierge last October on points and had a wonderful room 5229. It was in perfect shape and had a view of the Boardwalk, SAB and Illuminations.

Make sure when you check in that you are in a lagoon view room.

I ysed pts and stayed at AKL (conciege) in Nov. My first days veiw (even though I requested a savannah veiw) was of the pool.I went to the conciege and asked them if they could move me to a savannah veiw. The next day we were moved to the savannah.
