Called About My Castaway Club Membership - Boy Did I Get A Hard Sell

Well following some great advise her on the boards, ive just made a call to try and get my membership number and welcome pack. I had my reservation number from my last cruise so i thought it would be a quick call - boy was i wrong She gave me my number and took my address details as they said they didnt have them (i did book through a travel agent so this maybe the reason to why, i did however fill in the q's when leaving the ship...anyway) and said that she would request them for me no problem. She did say that it is now past 180 days since sailing so a discounted deal wouldnt be availible but should could check out a few dates for me. I didnt really want to as we wont be sailing this year, im saving for DISCON2 and my DH wants to go to Italy but she just would let up saying that she would check when we were there last year, quoting me prices etc etc Im not looking forward to my phone bill I can tell you!
She did give ma a quote which ive just checked on the cruise site is approx $500 cheeper - but hey i wont be using it. She also mentioned that they wont be having anymore offers like springtime ect and that the only offers you will get is if you book early? Im totally warn out by this call, it was such hard work to get off the phone....

When calling DCL be sure to use the toll free number, and let THEM pay for the call.

I think the problem for Emma is that she was calling from the UK. It's an international call for her and therefore still subject to billing.

I would definitely have said "If you want to try to talk me into this, you call *me* back."
