Call to confirm towncar

I was just wondering if anyone confirms their towncar before they arrive and if so when. Also, does anyone prepay with their credit card? I think it would be so convenient but I'm scared that if they get their money upfront that their service might not be so great.
 
I do call them a couple of days ahead of our arrival to confirm.
I do not pay in advance mainly because of the same reason you gave. Once they have the money there is no bargaining chip for you to use if you receive bad service.
 
I always call ahead. But then again, I'm type A. ;)
 
I was planning on calling the day before we leave to confirm. However I did give them my cc number and they said they would charge me 2 days before our arrival. I did it for convience but after I did it I wished I hadn't done it. I'm afraid now if I call and tell them I changed my mind they might still charge it and I would pay the driver also. Wouldn't find any of this out until the cc bill comes after I'm home.
 

Depends on how paranoid I'm feeling. We have used Happy Limo a lot, so I've grown to trust them. But in the past, I'll confess that I've called to confirm "just in case."
