Wait about 10 business days (typically 14 calendar days) after your deed shows up on the Orange County site (if buying a WDW resort). Call and select option 3 for Member Accounting. Ask them to look it up for you. If they give it to you, ask to be transferred to set up your online account.

Please don't do this unless you actually need to. They aren't supposed to give this info out over the phone, and the other departments seem to be pretty strict about it. Member Accounting seems to be the one department that can adequately verify your identity. If you just want it because you're impatient or curious, please just wait the extra few days for the letter to come in the mail.

It feels like torture to wait for the letter, so I tried calling twice but was told both times that I'm not yet in the system. I've resigned myself to waiting for the letter and hoping it shows up this week!

Called today they gave me my number and activation code.

Great news! I tried again today, but no luck and we closed 2 weeks (11 business days) ago.

well it's a good thing they give it to you over the phone because I never got my mouse mail with the activation code and that was last year when we bought.

Did you get it over the phone? If you set up your account before the mail the letter, they save the stamp and don't send it.

Yes I did end up getting it over the phone. I guess we will never know if they saved a stamp or the post office lost it.
