Well, I knew this was bound to happen...
One of our Thanksgiving weekend flights on United had been cancelled already, but we were rebooked and everything was okay...or so we thought.
Called again after I heard about the latest round of cuts, and now BOTH of our flights (including the rescheduled one) were cancelled!!
The good news is that once again we have been rescheduled, complete with seat assignments. The bad news is that the flight out, on Thanksgiving day, doesn't get us to Orlando until 1:09 p.m. We are going on a Disney cruise, and by the time we get our luggage we'll be lucky to get to Port Canaveral by 3. Thank goodness we are taking Happy Limo, so there won't be any potential delays with the cruise line bus, but I am still nervous about the unknowns (potential for lost luggage etc.).
I asked United if this was likely to be the last change, and they all but came out and said: NO!!! I was advised to keep checking, and I'd like to advise everyone else who is flying soon to keep checking too. We weren't notified of the changes either time...it's a matter of calling the airline yourself. Good luck to everyone with flights coming up soon!
