Any reviews of the 50th Anniversary meal at California Grill yet? Couldn’t find any bloggers or reviews yet.

We’re going on 10/24 before Boo Bash. I’d love to know more about the guided wine pairing.

I saw a video that showed the wines. Looked like Jarvis, Silverado and Chappellet. It sounded like they did a nice description tableside.

Been looking for more dinner reviews, but can’t find any yet. 😔

I would expect the wine pairing would depend on what you order (at least it should).
The video I saw had two different wine options. The pairing was $39. The other was a Napa Journey (or something). This was 3 set wines that were more expensive than the $39 (I believe). There are other wines of course on the wine menu…

We went tonight and it was great! Almost all of our menu favorites were included. I was a little apprehensive with the changes, but we were not disappointed at all. We had sushi and the duck pizza for our app. The sushi was just as it has been (the Spicy Kazan roll is delicious). The duck pizza was good, but it has blue cheese, and it was a strong flavor, but really good. I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly, My DH had the grouper and he loved it. For dessert, we had the chocolate torte and donuts. They were both good options, but we had already eaten so much that we could not finish them. One word of warning, the souffle was not rising as it should be and they were not looking super appetizing as they were being delivered to tables. They did offer bread service at the beginning of the meal. It was served along with the yummy tomato dipping oil. The meal took about 2 hours from start to finish. We will definitely keep it on our normal rotation!

Thanks for the review. We have loved every meal here in the past. I was a little worried when I saw the menu, but my wife said it looks wonderful! Sounds like it hasn't missed a beat. Looking forward to our evening there

Thanks for the review. Glad to hear you had a great dinner. 😀 I’m still a little apprehensive bc we have an 11 year old & I really don’t want to pay $89 for them. 😱

We are in the exact same boat. Really want to give the new menu a try but I had trouble sucking up $39 for brunch when she was still a "kid" I'm not sure I'm even worth a $90 dinner :D

Yeah, last time we went our child ordered off the kids menu and their meal was about $15. Still not sure what to do.

I have a question about the new experience.
Is the 50th menu all they have or can you order from the regular menu instead?
thank you

They only have the 50th, prix fixe menu. We ate there the first night it was served. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. They were obviously having difficulty timing the courses. An hour between the appetizer and entree wasn't really the experience we were looking for.
