Have managed to book a adr for California Grill at 7.50pm for Aug the Fireworks are not on till 10pm do you think we will still be seated to view them?

It depends on how busy they are...... I usually sit at the bar and hang out with a glass of wine until the fireworks happen.

If u have a 7:50 ress there is a good chance u won't be seated right away. Maybe any where from 10-20 min wait. Then figure eating time an 1hr & 15 to an 1hr & 30. I think ur good. My opinion.

Also depends on when you are seated. If you don't actually get to a table until after 8, it is very possible you will still be dining 2 hours after you begin. That is, if you enjoy sitting and taking your time. Otherwise, I agree with PP-enjoy your dessert cocktail at the bar (and give up your table for some other lucky person) and then everybody enjoys the show.

Last year we had a 7:40pm reservation at CG and we were in the middle of eating our meal when we went out to wait for the fireworks. Our waiter even brought out metal covers to put over our food so it wouldn't get cold while we were out there.

We had plenty of time. CG isn't like a normal Disney TS- since it's 2 credits and much nicer, they usually take their time serving you and don't rush you out. I think they pretty much assume those people with 7:30 or later reservations plan on watching the fireworks.

Wish we could snag a CG rezzie! Congrats to you! I have been calling every second day since our 90+10 date, PLUS have the CR concierge/club level staff trying to get a rezz for us and even they can't find a table for us---and we don't even want to go during Wishes. We would like to go as soon as it opens for appetizers and dessert and then head over to MK for our last night (Aug 30th). Does anyone know of a special event happening that night? Maybe that is why we can't get a table.

I called yesterday and had no problem getting an ADR for C.Grill maybe keep trying hope you manage to get one!

Just incase your dinner is finished before Wishes starts you can look around the Contemporary and later on go back to the California Grill check-in desk on the 2nd floor, show them your receipt for your dinner and they will let you back up to watch Wishes.

What kind of food is in the california grill? Any semblence to the california pizza kitchen or something completely different?
