California Grill timing question

we have an ADR for 8:50 pm at California Grill on a night with Wishes at 8:00 pm. Will they allow us to check in early, watch the fireworks from the observation deck and wait in the lounge or will we have to wait in the lobby until our table is ready?

We are in the same boat... We have 8:55 ressie with Wishes scheduled at 8. I found this on the Disney site...
Guests with a dining reservation after the fireworks are also invited to watch the show from the lounge or observation deck. Please note that fireworks may be cancelled due to inclement weather and are subject to change.

I plan on getting there by 715-730. Hopefully that will be early enough to get a spot to watch.

Not likely. You have to be escorted up by a CM. But you can always try.

If you get there early WITH a reservation they will almost certainly let you up. But don't count on any seats in the lounge or bar.

You will likely have to stand out on the deck and wait for the show to begin.
