I hear that the California Grill has good sushi that we might want to try...Would anyone happen to know how that would work on the dining plan? :confused3

I don't know how it works on the dining plan, but I can vouche for it being delicious!! Here are some pics from our January trip.

My DM and I both opted for Sushi as our entrees last time using the DDP.

I had the "Snake in the Grass" and my DM had "Yoshie's Deluxe Sushi Platter"
Then we shared with each other. Not the best use of our dining credits but since it was free and we were dining pretty late (had 9:20 ADR) we didn't mind. Plus since our meal wasn't too expensive our tip was less than it would have been if we had gotten something more expensive. And of course, we also got desserts. :goodvibes

The sushi is very good here, I would do it again if we decide to eat there again in Sept. If I had paid for DDP then I may have opted to pay OOP. Maybe next time my DM and I will order one true entree like the Grilled Pork Tenderloin or the Oak Fired Filet and then get one sushi order as well. Or, since my DD9 will be 10 then and considered an adult we may order 2 entrees and one sushi order.

Since I'm a visual person, here's some pictures

Chocolate Temptation (we didn't care for this-too bitter)

Just to point out one issue on the DDP...

If you are on the DDP, you don't get an appetizer so it doesn't matter. However, if you are on the DxDP, at California Grill all sushi may be ordered as an appetizer except the Snake in the Grass and Yoshie's Deluxe Platter, which are both pictured above. These two dishes may be ordered as entrees, but not appetizers. Otherwise, the sushi is very good.

Kona Cafe has a station outside the restaurant that sells good sushi, but does not accept the DDP. However, you can order their sushi as an appetizer if you are dining at Kona Cafe and use the DDP there -- go figure.

Kimonos at the Swan is very nice and has the biggest selection (though it is not on the DDP).

Wolfgang Puck Cafe in DTD also has a few decent rolls (and is on the DDP).

Enjoy. :)

OMG! Those pictures are AMAZING! It looks quite yummy! We actually did Kimonos last year, and even though it's not on the plan, might have to make an extra trip over there this year too!
