California Grill reservation times?

Wishes will be 10:00pm the night I will be at cali grill. I have a reservation at 7:50pm. There is currently a 9:15pm spot open. Would it be better to stay with my 7:50pm time or should I cancel it to a time closer to the fireworks? My only fear is if I cancel and change to 9:15pm people will sit around waiting for the fireworks and we won't get a table. What is your experience with this?

We have waited up to 50 minutes for a table when it gets closer to fireworks time. However, they will let you go out onto the observation deck to watch the fireworks even if you haven't been seated yet (most people go outside to watch anyway since the majority of tables don't have a great view).

On the flip side, if you go earlier and you are done eating, you can return to the observation decks with your meal receipt to watch the fireworks.

We easily have 2 hour meals. We order a bottle of wine, have appetizers, etc. If you aren't doing that, you probably won't be sitting there for 2 hours with your meal and the earlier reservation will mean you will be done before the 10pm fireworks.
