California Grill or Narcoossee's

Which one do you like better? We will be traveling with kids, 5 and 8. We will be eating at dinner times, not late in the evening. Narcoossee's looks more casual possibly from pictures, what do you prefer?

The food is definitely better at the Cali Grill. Despite the fact that you won't be dining during Wishes your children might enjoy looking out of the windows there and watching the open kitchen.
FYI, we dined at both restaurants this past week.

We ate at California Grill when the kids were 4 and 7 (1998) and it was just fine. A 2 hour meal and the servers would interact with the kds every now and then. Th MK fireworks went off about half way through the meal.

The kids might enjoy the view of MK more at CG. Our DD7 loves the Rice Crispy Sushi dessert at CG too They can get steak at both. But I love the whole love at Narcossee's. We always do both

We prefer CG a lot over Narcoosees. Narcoosees is more casual but for seafood, we would rather eat at bluezoo. We go to CG for the sushi.

California Grill is a must do for us, therefore that is what I voted for. The atmosphere, food, and service are all awesome. We also really enjoyed our dinner at Narcoossee's and are planning on returning there when we go back in September. But with the ages of your kids, I would suggest Cali Grill over Narcoossee's because it is fun to see MK from that high up plus Narcoossee's is a very relaxed and calm atmosphere where Cali Grill can get a bit loud at times.

Having eaten at both with DD7, DD7, and DD4, it's a tough call!!! My entire family loved both and they are must do's on each trip. If you are going FOR Wishes, I would suggest CG, but if you aren't, the kids would probably like Narcoossee's better.

Yes, in my experience, California Grill is much noisier.

I have done CG in the past either watching the fireworks first then eating, or eating and watching the fireworks after dessert. I think its one of the greatest Disney experiences there is. That being said, Id like to try something different this time Is there a way to watch the Wishes fireworks on the beach at GF say at 8pm and then go to Narcoosees for dinner at 9pm? I just have no idea what the vantage point is like for the fireworks from GF.

If you had asked me before our last trip, I would've voted Narcoossee's. Our first visit to CG was not great. But, we went on our December trip for DD's birthday and it was great.

Tough call, really. They both are great. If you're more interested in seafood, I'd go for Narcoossee's (even though their filet was great).

We've also seen the fireworks from both. And while they are further away at Narcoossee's, they are more over the castle versus CG (where you're viewing them from the side).

I'd look at their menus and see which appeals more to you.

I am sure you could watch Wishes from the GF beach - I have never done it before. I HAVE at the beach at Poly at is was amazing!!! They pipe the music in, you sit on the beach with a direct view and can sip a yummy Lapu Lapu! I would try that if I were you...
