Hi

Just found a 9:30 PM reservation for CG on valentines day and wanted to book it for wine/apps/dessert, but its requiring a CC guarantee.

Is this normal for CG, or just for the holiday, and would it be a problem not to order a full dinner?

Thanks!

Yes, it's normal for CG, and no, it doesn't matter what you order.

Just make sure you cancel if you decide not to go, because it's a $20 per person no-show fee.

Yeah, I figured thats what the CC was for.

I was just curious because a lot of the nicer resteraunts near me have speical menus for holidays like NYE and Valentines which require prepayment

Nope, nothing to do with Valentines Day, which is not considered a major holiday at WDW.

It's because years ago when CG was first restricted to patrons of the restaurant (used to be anyone could just get in the elevator and go up there) they had a problem with guests making reservations just to get upstairs and watch the fireworks, then they'd leave without ordering anything.
