Can someone please tell me what is included with the meal plan on the California Grill menu? Appetizer, entree, dessert? Sushi? (wishful thinking) TIA!
I can't help you as I've never used the DDP at CG, but others who have will want to know if you are on the regular DDP or the deluxe DDP. Only the deluxe includes an appetizer.
Basic dining plan is entree and dessert only, which is any of the main course selections or the two most expensive sushi options and of course the dessert menu. Many people have reported being able to get the cheese plate as a dessert, but I'm pretty sure I've also read scattered reports of not being able to so I wouldn't count on that.
Deluxe dining plan is far better for CG in my opinion because the appetizers are where the restaurant really stands out. Any of the flatbreads, first course selections, cheese plate, or sushi (with the exception of the two most expensive options which count as entrees) can be ordered as an appetizer. Entree and dessert inclusions are the same as the basic plan.
Thanks so much for the responses! We are on the regular dining plan this trip. First time eating at CG. Trying to figure out how to distribute our dining credits and figure out which meal to pay OOP. All other meals are 1 ts. Will get it all straight tonight, hopefully. Just a couple of weeks away from the 1 month happy dance! Cheers, everyone!
Since you're on the regular plan, your meal will include an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. You can order sushi as your entree if you want, but it probably isn't a good value for 2 credits.

We have found that at signatures it works for us to do 1 dining plan and 1 not. Then we have the dessert included and one meal (the higher priced entree). Then we pay oop for appetizers/other meal we would like. Most of the time DH and I are completely content to split a dessert and I tend to be the cheaper meal (pasta or such) person while he gets the high dollar meal.

CG is a MUST DO for us! On the DP, in order to save a dining credit, my DH uses 2, and I order the sonoma goat cheese ravioli from the appetizer menu. It's one of my favorite things to eat anywhere, so I'm happy. We pay for that out of pocket, and share the dessert, and haven't used up more than our daily allotment of 2 dining credits.
