California Grill...Just for drinks??

Can we just go to California Grill just for drinks, maybe appetizer at bar and watch fireworks?
OR do we need adr's for a full dinner to view fireworks?

We have gone for drinks before but it was not while the fireworks were showing.

I told the people at the podium that we just wanted drinks and we had no trouble getting an elevator up.

You might get lucky and get a seat at the bar for fireworks but I certainly wouldn't count on it. The lounge/bar is very small and people take those seats as they are waiting for their tables to be available. The closer to fireworks, the more the people back up as diners aren't giving up their tables and people will be standing wall-to-wall up in that tiny area.

Agree. Chances of a bar/lounge seat anywhere near fireworks time are slim and none.
But they will let you up to have drinks and an appetizer if there is room. We always arrive early for our dinner there and they always let us up go to the bar or lounge. When we get there, absolouely no place to sit except on some chairs backed up against a wall---. Then I have to fight my way to the bar and hope we can order a drink before we're called to dinner.
