California Grill Hit or Miss?

I want to know what people love about California Grill or what hasn't worked for them. Staying at BLT and am interested in dining there. Pictures please!

What works for me: the sushi is very good. Actually, the entire appetizer menu is above average.

Views are spectacular.

What doesn't work: this restaurant is noisy and busy, not an upscale experience. Also the entrees are not nearly as good as the appetizers.

I agree with Pakey. I've loved everything I've ever gotten off the appetizer portion of the menu (sushi, flat breads, salads, a lobster risotto). Entrees have been so so (love the pork tenderloin though). Their scallops are just OK (no where near as good as the ones at Flying Fish). I've gotten two bad steaks there (one tough with no flavor and the other cooked very well done, when I ordered it medium). My husband got a really good ostrich dish there though a couple years ago. I have yet to find a dessert that I'd have to go back for. I love their cheese plate though.

I love the view, but dislike how crowded and noisy it always is.
