I am coming up on 180 days and want make reservations at California Grill to view the fireworks (I think the show begins at 8:00 p.m.). What is a good time to make the reservation for? 6:30 or 7:00? We will be there in November. Thank you.

I think either of those times should be good. If you're getting served dessert and the fireworks are starting, they will serve you dessert after the fireworks. We went out onto the balcony and watched, then came back to finish eating. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Great food and great restaurant with fantastic view.

According to the WDW official site, checking the last week of November only, Magic Kingdom fireworks are scheduled for 6:00 pm on November 27, 28 and 30. The only evening they are scheduled for 8:00 pm is Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Just a little heads up.

Enjoy.

Thank you.

AAA travel agent called and checked and said the fireworks were at 8:00 for the nights we want. We will be there 11-18. She wasn't sure what the best times for making a reservation were though.

I just dined at cal grille, we had an 8pm reservation, Wishes started at 9,we didnt get seated till 15-20 minutes after 8, and the timing was perfect for wishes, we had our apps, and our server came to us and told us to go watch wishes outside our entree would be out as soon as the show was over, so everything played out perfectly.

Thank you. I have gone with the 7:00 p.m. reservations. I think this will work for us.

Since I was surprising my boyfriend with the fireworks/dinner package, I choose to see the fireworks before dinner so he couldn't figure it out seeing the castle from our seat. This, of course, works better to those who don't mind eating and staying up later. The fireworks were at 9, and we had a 930 reservation. We arrived quarter to and were immediately given a buzzer thing and escorted to the viewing balcony. It was maybe 10 minutes after the show and watching the Electrical Pageant, we were called to our table. It was an incredible night... I know you'll enjoy it!

Thanks, I think we will have a great time. I have a 9 year old who will be needing to hit the rack shortly afterward. After a long day in the park he will be pretty tired. It sounds you like you did it right though. Glad you enjoyed. Can't wait to see for ourselves what it is like. Thank you.

We have a ressie for Cali Grille for 8 on a night where Wishes starts at 10. Is that too early? :confused3

We did the same thing 8pm 3rd week in August. We're going to very nicely request a table by the window and let them know that we will wait. This could be immediately avail. or wait up to 30-40 mins. Either way, I think we will be viewing them towards the end of the meal or we can wait it out while slowly sipping our wine :thumbsup2

That's not too early. Our CG meal last Thursday night took only a shade under 2 hours.

how about a preview?
The fireworks will appear over space mountain with the exception of the ones fired off from the buildings directly around the castle.

Here's my expereience with a 6 & 9 year old.

We ate there for the first time this past November 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and our ADR was for 8:20p and the fireworks were scheduled for 10:00p.

We checked in probably at 8:15p or earlier on the 2nd floor. We went upstairs pretty much right away.

We ordered a drink and by the time it came, we were seated, with barely any wait at all. We also were lucky enough to have a really good table by the window.

The waiter did his best to space out our meal but we were completely done by 9:30p and maybe a little earlier then that. My younger DD was very tired. We really tried to make it but needless to say, we didn't. :( We left at 9:35p.

Good luck.

Wow! Amazing pic!!!

omg, that picture is amazing!
Do they have the music playing out on the viewing platform as well? I don't think Wishes would be the same without it.
