California grill dress code

We have PS for dinner at California grill. Could someone elaborate on the dress code?

The only real "code" is no bathing suits, or tank tops on men. I suppose you'd also need shoes. Absent that, the only code is one that you'd impose on yourself.
When you make PS, they may tell you "business casual" or "smart casual", but that's merely a "suggestion", not any sort of requirement.
Many people do dress up a bit at CG and many suggest they feel out of place otherwise. But we always go "Theme park casual" and it's simply never been a problem. Dined there that way about 7 times now, and never ever felt out of place.

"Smart Casual" is what you will be told when you make the PS. We usually do either khakis and golf shirts or Theme Park Casual.

We weren't told any dress code when we made our PS and we ended up going straight from Fantasmic and all day in the parks so we wore what we had on that day. We had planned to get a little dressed up since it was our last WDW dinner without kids, but it seemed to hectic to rush back to AKL to change before dinner. We noticed most others dressed similarly to ourselves so we felt fine.
