California Grill Dress Code

Looking forward to going to CG for the very first time!! Just wondering about how strict the dress code is - do polo shirts count as collared?

In my experience they have not been strict at all. I have been there roughly 6x with my family and have always dressed in Golf shorts and a polo shirt and never had any issues nor felt under-dressed.

Polo shirt is fine. I've seen people in there in TShirts and shorts. When we went we wore what we had worn to the park that day. My son had on a light weight button up shirt with a collar (he rarely wears T-Shirts in public) and a pair of cargo shorts. I had on a sundress and sandals.

I think you only cross the dress code line by wearing swimwear, excessively ripped or torn clothing, and clothes with offensive graphics or language. Polo shirt is good

Vegas has strict dress codes, 3-4 places at Disney pretend they have dress codes, this is one of them.

This is the one place I usually always dress up for. And by dress up, I mean a nice button down or polo. No Tshirts. Then again, I only count that after like 6:30pm. DW usually wears a nice dress

Polo shirts are accepted but I wouldn't feel comfortable in one unless I was wearing a jacket over it (but thats just me). Also, I would never consider wearing shorts...jeans or pants and a polo would be fine though.

Just think Florida resort wear when most WDW restaurants instill a dress code. It’s what we would wear anyway but I guess it’s necessary to state because some people get their kicks being themselves .

Or something like that. In our experience anything goes if it is clothes.

Yeah. Even during my solo trip when I went there for my last dinner I had a button up in my backpack. It ended up being ridiculously wrinkled but if it was going to eat a $75 steak I felt obligated...there were wedding photos being taken out near where the guests go for fireworks and thought "wow now much does a wedding here cost?"
