California Grill/Christmas Wishes. Is it worth it?

My wife, Daughter (5), and I have dinner reservations at the California Grill for the Christmas Wishes fireworks in November. We are using the DDP and it is 2 TS points per person. We could not be guaranteed a window seating. I'm not sure if it's worth it to use 2 TS points/person on a fancy meal, (which my daughter probably won't like), and have the chance of not getting a good view. Can you see the show from anywhere in the restaurant? Is it a good atmosphere for children? Would we be better off seeing the show from the park? Is it worth it to see the show from there? Thanks.

We just dined at CG last week. We did not have a window seat but went out on the deck for Wishes. The view is great.

Don't stress about not getting a window seat. You can see Wishes from much of the restaurant, and there is a deck for anyone who wants.

Personally, I think CG is the only thing worth 2 TS. It isn't just a good restaurant, it's a magical experience.

We have an ADR for CG on 12/23/07 at 7:35. I thought this would work out well to see Wishes from the restaurant. We have an 11 year old son, I'm thinking he will order something from the kid's menu and we will pay OOP for his since he has adult credits.

I noticed that for Thanksgiving Day, CG has a set menu. There are no other choices than the ones offered, or is there? Is the children's menu always an option? :confused3

We ate at CG last xmas dinner and it is well worth 2 TS credits! We had adr's at 9:30pm but got there around 8:50 and were escorted up the elevator and to our table right away. Wishes was starting at 9:00pm and our waitress told us we could go to the ourdoor observation area or watch from the table(we had a great view and not right at the window). The view is wonderful and made for a great holiday mood. We were 5 adults(one was 16 DS) and we all had DDP and had an amazing meal from starters to dessert. We are dvc members and go at least once a year (usually twice) and this was the best meal we have had at WDW. The total bill was over $500 -when you compare this to the total cost for 5 nights for 5 people $950approx, I think it was well worth 2TS credits.

ps lots of children were having family dinner for the holiday, nice to see them somewhat dressed up(our DS and DH had khaki pants and polo shirts).
