California Grill casual?

I recently read somewhere that California Grill is casual. Does anyone know if that is true or was it a misprint. It said casual dress no tank tops.

I would say its very mixed, we were celebrating a birthday and we dressed up however i did see others who were casually dressed

I would not have been comfortable being there in casual clothes though

California Grill is a Signature Restaurant and it has a dress code. The dress code is Business Casual. Disney is very lenient in enforcing this. You will see folks in all sorts of attire.
As the PP said, I personally would not go and feel comfortable in theme park clothes. We always go to our resort and freshen up and change before going to a Signature Restaurant.

It can be pretty casual, but for the most part, people dress up. I generally go in whatever I was wearing to the park that day and to be honest, when I get there I usually end up wishing I'd dressed up a bit. It seems that most people do. Maybe next time, if I can tear myself away from having fun.

You won't be made to feel bad if you're dressed very casually, by the way. The service is excellent and no one really cares.

Here's the official dress code

Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing.
While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

I wore a cotton dress, DH wore beige shorts and a polo with sneakers...compared to others we were over dressed.

We went in our theme park clothes, which is typically capris and a tank top with a blouse over it for me and denim or khaki shorts with a polo shirt for DH, and we were pefectly comfortable. I'd say that put us about in the middle of the pack overall - some guests were more dressed up, while others were in even more casual park clothes.
