Someone please tell me about the Brick Oven Fired Flatbreads at CG. Details would be helpful, as I have never been to CG and I just looked at the menus. Which ones are the best, and what are they already?

They are thin crusted pizzas. Quite thin and quite good!:thumbsup2

There has always been a 3 or 4 cheese choice on the menu in our experience but the other selections vary quite a bit. I had a wonderful pork and apple flatbread at CG in February. It had a jalapeno aoili and was really quite spicy. Loved it!

These are great, we often get two to share before a meal. They are very thin crusted and crisp. There area a few varietites printed on the menu and usually a "special" one as well. My daughter had an incredible nectarine balsmaic last summer that was amazing.

The menus change all the time and so do the flatbreads. The only one that is always there is the four cheese although I think it was a three cheese a couple weeks ago. :goodvibes

What else was on the nectarine balsamic one?

Yes, although you can also order one as an entree. We did it both ways two weeks ago tonight. I wish I was having dinner there tonight!

The nectarine balsamic was one of the specials. It had two kinds of cheeses (a soft goat cheese and parm curls) as wellas thinly sliced nectarine and a balsamic reduction drizzled. It was amazing! I'm hoping when we return in the summer we will have something similiar offered.

The three or four cheese variety is the only constant while the others are offered weekly as ingredients are seasonal and very fresh. Sorry for not making that clearer in my previous post.

They do change often. Last time out I had a B-L-T flatbread and the time before that, one with Pork BBQ and slaw. Both were excellent!! But as BCV23 and Patsal suggest, you can probably count on the cheese flatbread being there.
Should mention the size of the flatbreads--one as an appetizer is fine for me, but is just a bit too much for Mrs U. But just one is too small for us to share. So we order 2, and I get to finish what Mrs U dosen't!!!

Lucky you, Uncleromulus.

Patsal, the nectarine one sounds intriguing.

Here's a picture of a fig one I had in Dec 06.

My picky dd was able to order the Triple Cheese (Pecorino, Asiago, Provolone) without Sun-dried Tomatoes and Basil Pesto. It was way too big for her to finish. I tried some it was sooo yummy!

They are good. I've had the 3 cheese/pesto/sun dried tomato, and the fig/gorganzola one. Both were excellent.

But they are pretty big. I think sharing one between two or three people is more than adequate as an appetizer.

I agree, I ate 3/4 of mine, and I had it as an entree.
