What a great time and good food! 5 of us went on 12/22 and I was thisclose to cancelling the reservation after all the bad reviews, but ended up going and was glad that I did!

Check-in - We had a 9:05 pm reservation and were seated at 9:08 pm.

Location - Raised booth close to the doors out to the observation deck with a perfect view of the castle.

Server - Donald or, as my son called him, "THE DON" was our server. Don was attentive and prompt. We added a starter ('cause who doesn't need a 4th appetizer?) after our initial order and there was no problem. We'd told him to not hold our entrees for the fireworks and Don did tell us that our entrees were coming and then they didn't - the kitchen misunderstood (lucky us - we ended up being really distracted by the fireworks after all!) Don said he felt bad and wanted to buy us a dessert. Cool, a free dessert! Actually,FOUR free desserts! YAY!! Additionally, two different managers stopped by the table during our meal to check if everything was ok.

The Food - We ordered tons

Starters
1. Three-Meat Signature Meatballs
2. Oven-dried Tomato Flatbread
3. Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli
4. Pork Belly Nigri

The pork belly was the hands down fav, but it's not like there was anything left of the others:rotfl2:

Entrees
1. Oak-fired Filet of Beef (2 ordered)
2. Bell & Evans Chicken (with a surprise chicken/veal sausage patty)
3. Pork Two Ways
4. Florida Red Snapper

Everything was delish and the only thing left was a bit of chicken.

Desserts - Free!

1. Chocolate Pudding Cake

2. Warm Homemade Fritters

3. Lemon Meringue Cheesecake

4. Seasonal Tasting: Heirloom Apple

The tasting thing was kind of blah, but everything else was eaten right up!

Ok, let's be real! This is not a 3 star Michelin place, but it's not a TGIF either. The food is upscale, but it didn't blow our minds. It was hot, fresh and tasty. We didn't have any of the cold/yucky bread, entree, etc problems that others had. The portions were generous and the location is a big part of the price.
As long as you understand that I think you have good chance at a good time.

So glad to hear another great review. We've always loved CG and was afraid that might not be the case anymore. Anxious to go back again in May!
