Thanks for sharing these! There is another dog rescue which specializes in saving senior dogs, called Frosted Faces. They are more specialized than the Los Angeles ones you mentioned, but helping any dog in Southern California will lighten the load on the rescues, Frosted Faces went to LA and picked up as many dogs as they could. They place older dogs (often in need of medical care, or who will need it shortly) and offer free vet services with the placement (I'm assuming there are Some limits) - but an incredible service. I've noticed a lot of the dogs end up with senior citizens who cherish them.

I know a LOT of people who helped on Maui during the animal care crisis there (which was horrific, since for health reasons, services personnel were not allowed back into the area to retrieve animals left behind for SIX MONTHS). Hoping we can do better with the current situation.
