I have information for anyone who is wondering about the Paris by Night tour and or the Trip to Provins tour operated thru DLP. We took both tours and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. With that being said, here is a brief summery of our trip:
We spent a total of 4 days in Paris before heading over to Barcelona for our 7 night cruise of the Med. If anyone wants info on that I would be happy to help. But I'm going to keep this summery focused on Paris and DLP.
We are from California so this was a loooooong haul to get to Paris. We left on Tuesday Sept. 7 at 7:20a.m. and Landed in CDG airport in Paris at 6:40a.m on Wednesday. The airport is HUGE and we had a 40 minute wait to get thru customs where they stamped our passports. We used TIO SHUTTLE which was mentioned on disboards. We had some issues at first, the driver was NOT where he said he was going to be so we stood around and had someone at the information booth call Tioshuttle to pick us up, 1 hour and 30 minutes later the driver arrived. So I will not reccomend using Tioshuttle. Anyways we ended up stuck in traffic and it took over an hour to arrive at Disney's Sequoia Lodge. All that is fine however I was sick and throwing up due to an accidental overdose of sudefed (due to the 9 hour time change I had to many in a short period of time) with that being said we arrived at the hotel which IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! So much more nice than I had expected to be honest. We were checking in right away, I explained to the lady I was super sick (at this point throwing up every 15 - 20 minutes and 2 times in the hotel lobby bathroom) I was hoping she could get us a room, even though I know there are none available until 3p.m. WELLLLLL, she frantically worked and got us into a room right then and there. We stayed in the Monterey Lodge, the room was nice, much nicer than I had expected, the staff was amazing and had actually checked on me later that day to see how I was feeling. I was so impressed. So we ate at Rainforrest cafe later that night, and it was good, quick service but overpriced. It was $60 euros for a salad, onion rings and my son had a burger and fries, and Husband had the same. Disney Village is very nicely themed, I LOVED the stores. This was day #1. We never made it into the park that day, I was to sick.
DAY #2:
We woke up and had breakfast in the hotel, it was very good. We headed over to Disneyland at 8:00a.m I was very moved at how beautiful the park was, the rides were a blast, each their own and a little different from the parks here in the states. But they were all fantastic. The parks and bathrooms were impecably clean, everyone was very friendly we never one time EVER had any cast member be rude to us. Everyone was overly nice to us, and even more so when they found out we were from California. It may help that I do speak french though. But none then less, we were treated like gold. I LOVE Disney studios, Crushes coaster was definatly the favorite.
On a quick note and a TIP***** we did eat some meals at Mcdonalds because they do have FREE WI-FI, and we loved that. We ended up eating dinner that night at The Steakhouse in Disney Village and it was fantastic. The food was excellent and the price was good at $75 euros and that was appitizers, meal and dessert for all 3 of us. This was the night of our Paris at night tour. They picked us up at Hotel New York at 9:00p.m. we were in a bus that has a glass roof. It was a great tour and it did offer 40 minutes to get out and tour around the Eiffel Tower on your own from 11:00p.m. - 11:40p.m. It was so lovely. The tour was definatly worth it.
