California at 7 months Oct-Dec NEXT year?

I know that as GCV sells out it will get harder and harder to book at the 7 month mark. How fast will that happen? We would like to go anytime Oct-Dec of 2011. We would be okay with a 1 or a 2 bedroom. If I am that open, would there be a good chance of getting something?
