California Annual Pass

Can anyone get a California Annual Pass? I was at Disneyland in April with my mom, who is a California Resident. I am a Texas resident. I went to the ticket booth in downtown disney and bought us both the California passes. I was never asked for ID?

Now, we are planning a return trip in early December with 2 other Texas families. Can they buy the California Passes? I'm not trying to cheat but if anyone can buy these this is what we want!

We were asked for ID to verify we had a So. Calif. zip code. So chances are that even tho one CM didn't ask for ID doesn't many future CMs won't ask.

They are intended for Southern CA residents.

Note, this pass has 160 blackout days.
