California Adventure?

:cloud9:
This grandma, daughter, and granddaughter age 6 just returned from 3 days.

Granddaughter lover Soarin and Grizzly River Run, The midway, All the shows, and would have roade Soarin until the cows came home.
Which of course means FPFPFPFPFP
Also reminder to get in line for Aladdin at least 40 min. early and let others go ahead of you once you get to the front until all the balcony seats are full. Opt for the mezzanine level or you will miss the climax of the show.
There is tons to do in DCA and the Animation Studio quickly dissolved 2 1/2 hours of our 3 days.
We did not do the haunted mansion or screamin but rode everything else multiple times and managed to fit in the princess breakfast.
If it is really hot when you are there. Reserve some time in Puddle Dot Park for your 4 year old and bring extra clothes and shoes. They will be super wet.
Also check out the frozen apple juice in Bug's Land it is really refreshing and lasts a long time. The only other place it is availabe is on Paradise Pier, you won't find it all in DL Have a super holiday and enjoy the magic.

I could ride Soarin' all day long. We are going back to DLR this year and I am most excited about DCA.

I love DCA. There is lots to do there and it holds some of my favorites from both parks. If money is tight you might start with the non-hoppers and then if you find you want to hop then stop at a ticket booth and upgrade. However lines at the ticket booths can get kinda long so weigh that out whether waiting later is worth saving the money initially.

I could easily fill an entire day just at DCA however I always hop because it is so easy to do so!

DCA is great. If your children do not enjoy thrill rides however it would take you very long to do the park so I recommend the park hopper. Plus with a park hopper you can take advantage of Disneyland before and after DCA's hours.

We just returned and we enjoyed DCA. It will be even better when they are done with the makeover. It seemed more crowded since they basically have the middle access cut off during the makeover.

My kids enjoyed the Zepher, Silly Symphony, Mike and Sully, Talk with Crush and the Toy Story shooting game in the back....We all wished that Goofys Sky School had been opened....oh well....

My boys actually seemed to relate better to DCA
They are 8 & 6 and for them they knew EVERY character and it was colourful & fun and SO much to see.
You would really miss something to be so close and not go.

I guess I'm the lone nay-sayer. With just two days, I would stay in Disneyland and not do California Adventure. My family LOVES Disneyland and is kind of "eh" on California Adventure.

Don't get me wrong, there are some rides in CA my children really enjoy--but as an overall experience, they just LOVE Disneyland and would be quite happy to spend two full days there. California Adventure doesn't have the "Disney" feel in our opinion.

To me, DCA feels like "Pixarland". I had a ton of fun over there and wouldn't want to do DL without hopping over there for at least a few hours, but I certainly spent more time over at DL.

I concur with everyone: go for the park hopper and if you can stretch it to a third day, even better. The Aladdin show is so worth going to CA, but there are lots of fun things there for you and your kids besides, too. Some of my DD's favorite rides are there--TOT, Screamin', and the Grizzly River Run.

Have fun!
