Hi,

So I haven't been back to California Adventure for a few years.

Is it still mandatory to get a World of Color Fastpass first thing in the am?

What happens if there are two (different) World of Color shows and you want to get Fastpasses for the second one? Do you have to come back later on or are there two different machines?

What rides have Fastpass and are they all connected? Going in Dec so no Soarin' but I assume still Tower of Tower, Californias Screaming, Radiator Racers (connected?), and that's all?

What rides have single rider? California screaming and Tower of Terror?

No...It is not mandatory to get a WOC FP right away. I do not believe they have separate kiosks for Celebrate and Winter Dreams. There should be a CM there. I suggest you speak with them regarding getting a WOC FP for a show they may not be dispensing yet. You may have to come back later for the second show.

Ride FPs are all connected in DCA. WOC and the M&G FPs will not be connected. There is also a FP for Goofy's Sky School (GSS).
SR line id available on ToT, CA Screamin', RSR, Soarin' and GSS.

As Grimama33 said, it's not really mandatory to get a WoC FP first thing in the morning anymore. In many cases, they don't run out of FPs for the second show, but...with the holiday season coming soon and two different WoC shows being presented, I do expect to see a slight uptick in WoC popularity. Based on the schedule that has been posted, it looks the first showing will be Winter Dreams and the second show will be Celebrate. The Parks Blog had a posting that indicated guests will be able to select which show they want to see, but that guests will need a FP to be allowed into the viewing area. If you wanted to see both shows, you will have to get into the queue twice.

Under normal circumstances, when there is only version of the show being presented, they distributed FPs for the first show first and then the second show second. So if you wanted a FP for the second show, you would have to wait until all of the FPs for the first show had been distributed. Alternatively, you could book a dining package with a reservation time that corresponded to a second show FP.

All of the attraction FPs are now connected to each other, except Buzz Lightyear over in DL. The two parks remain "disconnected" from each other. The show FPs (WoC, F!, Frozen at Fantasy Faire) and M&G (A&E) are also "disconnected".

Going in Dec so no Soarin'
What happened to Soarin'? I know it's currently closed for refurbishment, but I thought it was re-opening on November 13.

ToT doesn't have single rider. All the others do though, plus Grizzly.
I would check the wait for Soarin before getting in line. It is often just as long as standby, so getting a FP would be more efficient.

How is the single rider line for Soarin? Does it move well? Going on a busy day (Dec 5)
